OK thanks Saab, is OY-MUG the one being used for cargo then?
BA wise there is a Dash 8 service to Bristol, shuttle services to Heathrow and Gatwick, ie anything, and thats it now, with the Bristol service coming off in October.
Draw your own conclusions!
Aha, thats the one!
I’ll be popping up to LHR for proper sometime this week, so should get a better view than in a car outside Twickenham!
Yes, it was a good view from the stadium. We were stuck in the traffic around Twickenham, and saw about 25 planes landing.
They’ll be on 27’s tommorow. I saw a very ornate looking Gulfair A340 land there today, but we were driving back from central London, so I’m not sure whether it was a special or the new colours.
Thanks, it’s just odd for anything other than business traffic to come into farnborough outside of the airshow.
No, they don’t run an hours system, or a ranking system.
Your just supposed to fly for Aurigny, no restrictions!
Yeah, http://www.aurignyvirtual.org
A nice little VA, with a lot of developments in the pipeline.
It just needs a few more members thats all!
Is the Shorts going to be G-BPFN, Loganairs current one, or one of their previous ones?
I’m trying to get the reg’s for the new Shorts to put into the Aurigny virtual system for tommorrow.
Yeah, those two government 744’s were up at LHR a few weeks ago. One of them was adamant he was going to get 27L!
Air Wales are going to take over the route, utilising BA’s slots into Gatwick.

Search for IFDG 757. Superb visual model of it, however it uses the default 777 panel I think. If you want a good panel then buy Wilco’s PIC if you can. It’s a 767, but the panels are both the same.
As goes my favourite route thats a very difficult one. I’ve notched up some 400 hours flying time, so theres a lot to chose from, although I did participate in a very enjoyable flyin, with full ATC between LAX and SFO last night, my first flying experience in the USA online.
A major problem with the Plymouth/Newquay schedules was that they were operated by Dash 8’s. These aircraft are being retired in February, and there is no other aircraft in BA’s fleet capable of operating into Plymouth. If they can’t justify running into Plymouth and Newquay when they are operating a combined flight service (The aircraft route Gatwick Plymouth Newquay Gatwick) then there was no chance of a 737 operating purely to Newquay.
As goes the Orkneys/outer hebrides flights, these are operated by Loganair, so have no risk of being shut down as BACX has no control over them
flightsim.com is an excellent site…if you can log in, which 99% of the time you can’t!
On avsim there are some very nice Air 2000 757’s, 767’s and A320’s for download, plus many other superb aircraft, and you don’t need to log in!
Concorde no longer leaves at 1030, it leaves around 1900 now.
