This may seem a stupid question, but are Eastern not a low-cost airline? If so, why have they got such a varied range of aircraft? You would think they would choose one type of aircraft!

No, they are the complete opposite. They operate niche routes at very high prices and therefore have a wide range of aircraft to efficiently operate their wide range of services.

‘Tis a nice one that, based at Luton and used quite extensively despite being really rather new. Seafire Intertrade is the owner, not sure who is actualy using it though.

Although having said that its just arrived at Farnborough after diverting from Biggin.

Very elaborate setup at Manchester Piccadilly with this offer, a mate of mine at the weekend got a free 1st class ticket out of it.

CPH is awkward for viewing, but no more so than most European airports.

Several people have mentioned long haul, dont think this was particularly serious, but if anyone is interested AndrewM and myself are in Toronto 27/28/29 June, and New York 4/5/6 July. Denver 30/1/2 July would also be good as then we can sell you lots of FS stuff 😉

As I’ve mentioned to Tom I’m a bit tied up time and money wise, but should be able to fit something in somewhere I hope!

2) In my experience no not really, you can get just as good views from elsewhere. Bearing in mind everything is at 600ft or higher, being 20ft higher yourself doesnt have that much advantage.

3) Heathrow is the closest airport with a German service, 2nd closest is Gatwick.

4) This was covered a month or so ago on here. Basically anywhere nearby will be fully booked now. You will have to get quite creative to find anywhere with any spaces anywhere near the show, and a commute from London is usually easiest. Its a 40 minute train journey from the centre, with free shuttle buses to and from the airshow to the station.
