You’ll probably be allowed to stay on the plane, I guess you’ll be on the ground for about an hour. MAN-LGW is about 30 minutes flying time.

Not sure about the long term status of the 767s, but I would imagine the SkyService one will be back for the summer.

MAN-LGW will be at 19,000ft, not sure about the engines though.

Very interesting Kev, my Uncle went up in G-AMRA some years ago and ever since hearing his stories of it I’ve wanted to go up in one.

Hopefully we might be able to make a go of it at Farnborough this year. If we sell tickets on our stand do you think they might give us a free ride Andrew? 😉

I think the council are trying to build something on it now. The airport was probably one of the worst commerical ventures in airport construction throughout Europe or even the world in quite some time.

I think at the height of its operations it had a service to Belfast?

The route seems to be MAN-LGW-Varadero-MAN, so your return journey is straight back to MAN.

It is also definitly a 767.

Hmm well after something lands at Kemble its relatively unusual to see it leave again. In this case particularly as BDXO was recently scrapped in Amsterdam and BDXJ retired at Dunsfold.

Looks like the DUB op still runs, BA9225 from GVA today.

Its crazy for Ski Charters today, must be one of the busiest days of the season, I cant see a UK airport without a link to a ski destination”

As Scott says this is one of the B734 services that operates a W pattern from LGW. There used to be a similar operation through DUB.

WOW great shots of the Northern Lights, I’ve yet to see them in 4 years of flying!

Heres one of my new Falcon 50 flying from Farnborough to Guernsey:

I’ve heard this was a brand new Antonov 140. Very bad news for Antonov if indeed it was one of these, they’ve only been flying for a year or so.
