Much higher than many other copycats. 😀 There are some countries which only wants to copycat others systems and claims it as her own. 😉 These Indian technologies are enough to contribute in PAK FA. India is ahead in many areas that were proved with Brahmos and SU-30 MKI. Thats why the IAF wants various Indian systems in FGFA instead of Russian.
🙂 ah people that can ignore facts…..
1) The so-called “copycat” you are talking about can produce and export almost any military product you can imagine whereas master India is the largest importer of weapons on the face of the Earth.
2) There is no military product that I am aware master India is exporting.
3) Indian AF is still importing or planning deals to import Su-30s, BAE Hawks, C-130Js, Mi-171s, Airbus A330 tankers, 126 multi-role combat aircraft (foreign), 317 light helicopters (from Kamov, Augusta or Eurocopter), may be c-17s
4) Navy and Army is not different, I just dont have time to list.
5) Until now, Indian contribution to PAK-FA is ZERO.
6) Russian version of PAK-FA is most probably wont have anything designed in India. If somehow it does, it will be something like F-35 have some parts from Turkey or Netherlands. In other words just as an offset agreement.
Yes. Modern aircrafts are build with advanced composites, reliable computers, avionics, EW systems, net centric and sensors….. India mastered all these technologies. Thats why went for many Indian systems onboard SU-30 MKI instead of Russian.
I guess your standards for “mastering” is quite low.
How do you know the Indians havent contributed? India is great at software programing/engineering for example. Wouldnt surprise me at all if they have
played an important role in that respect. And the Sukhoi officials speak of the Indians as “partners”, not “customers”, witch indicate that they have an active role in the project. Well, no reason to argue about this now. Soon enougth the secrecy of the project will be lifted and we’ll be able to find out who did what anyway.
But you shouldnt insult the Indians that way anyways. They dont deserve it.
They have actively choosen to be partners with Russia and to provide what help they can. What other country would have done the same?
Until today, Indian input to PAK-FA is “0”, that is ZERO.
Every time I see pictures of mig1.44 I go “wow”….
Why else would the Russian defense industry want to work with India if not to learn about composites.
hmmmm… money? may be 🙂
that was a really relevant post, thanks….
After ARJ21 deal, leap-x didn’t surprise me
What a wing flex. Think it when it is fully loaded.
Landing video??? I couldnt find it on youtube.
I dont know what is to discuss here… From figures, if they are at same price, it is clear KC-30 is better.
I bet one can find another force member who will state its support for KC-30.
One think to always remember: Boeing cheated!
Berkut is beautiful aircraft…
Irrelevant. As long as they’re getting what they signed on for that’s all that matters. If what they signed on for didn’t include source code then too bad.
Answer like a gentlemen, do not twist it.
It is just a fan art I know but it looks fantastic in my opinion. It doesn’t remind me F-22 at all, definitely not F-35 🙂
An interview with the ‘PLAAF deputy Commander’ – Link
1st flight of the prototype 4th-Generation (5th-Gen as we know it) fighter plane COULD come soon. IOC at least 8-10 years after that.
Chinese might beat Russians 🙂
It will be smt if J-XX flies before PAK-FA
this might mean one thing: J-XX is almost done 🙂
Well, China almost didnt have anything before and right now they have a UAV comparable to Heron. I believe it can be seen as a leap.
