RE: Iraq; a question of oil.
Granted Saddam may have access or already have WMD and MCW, but that is no reason to invade his country.
While he may be over-zealous in the way he runs his country, no credible proven links have established him with Al-Queda, or deveopling WMD or MCW, let the UN inspectors in and if they dont find anything, what then? Will Bush ignore the UN and invade Iraq? IF that happens that is an act of war, and Saddam would be well within his rights to defend HIS country with any of his weapons.
Say if he has Biological, Chemical or Nuclear weapons and says they are for self defence, what are we going to about it? UK, US, Russia all have those weapons for “self-defense” should we be invaded becasue we have them? No we shouldn’t nither should Iraq.
But if it were not for the oil in the middle east Bush wouldnt look twice at Saddam. So what if Saudi Arbia and Kuwait have oil, so does the UK, Russia, US and many other countries. Besides the middle east only has low-quality crude, the high-quality stuff is in the North Atlantic, North Sea and Alaska.
