Am I the only one who can’t get any of the links to work on Jethro’s?

Was joking, I promise. I suspect the good residents who buy houses cheap near Heathrow then wonder why planes are flying overhead might have something to say if Tridents did take to the skies again!

So do they not have a cover aircraft?
Did I read somewhere that they have cover arrangements with US Airways and Virgin in case a 330 is out of action for any significant period?

Are any of these expected to reenter service when the airline industry picks up again?

I can’t help thinking this might be the last thing that the bearded one really wants.
It’s easy to take a publicity snipe at BA and to gain all that publicity for Virgin when he knows damn well that Airbus will no longer support Concorde so he hasn’t a chance of flying it anyway.
My cynical moment.

Is it just me or is that logo a speedbird?

Are they calling it Moscow (Tampere)? 😉

The Renaissance Heathrow is great if you can get a room at the back of the hotel looking onto the runway, obviously the higher floors are better!
They’re always happy to accommodate requests for rooms overlooking the runway – these are actually the rooms that many people ask not to be in.
You can earn miles for many major airlines by staying there too 🙂

Are those Trents under it’s wings?? 🙂

I find Ryanair’s comments that Strasbourg will lose a lot of tourism through the shift to Baden Baden quite amusing considering that just 40km away from Strasbourg is quite close by RyanAir standards, certainly close enough to be called Strasbourg.

Looks great, can’t wait to see it and fly on it. I think i read they will be going to Switzerland first, is that right ?Carl
Can’t say I fancy flying on it myself. Aren’t they cramming 156 seats in?? (hence the double overwing exits that make it look like an A320)

It seems to me with the number of abortive projects recently (747X, Sonic Cruiser etc) that Boeing themselves are not sure where to go from here.
Can’t see them fading though. The 7E7 looks much more in line with their view of long haul aviation’s future – smaller aircraft flying point-to-point direct rather than hub-hub. I think they may well be right, and that the numbers of new RegionalJet routes are evidence of this.
However, I also think they may have underestimated future demand for really big aircraft.

Hi,
I would generally concur with Mongu, but the game does have quite a lot of little bugs, all of which can be worked around and all of which the developers work on when they are told about them via the excellent user forum.
I would recommend it even if it wasn’t the only remotely realistic airline business simulator.

I hope UAL aren’t about to join this list – my wife’s currently on one of their 777s from LHR to IAD and only ‘E’ seats in the centre of the 5-wide central block were available on check in (we had flown down from MAN on BD who were unable to check her in for United there earlier because the flight number for her IAD-CMH connection had changed).
To add to that I just found on UAL’s site that it’s nearly 2 hours late due to a schedule change caused by aircraft servicing 🙁

MyTravel last March-April, Gatwick – Bergamo and back.
Seriously cramped A320, and I’m 6’5″ tall. On the way back my legs were so wedged in against the seat in front that the table would not lower properly, so the crew refused to serve me the meal that I had paid extra for (not that it looked worth worrying about). I really limped off that plane.
