I agree 100% with Fedaykin and I will keep on posting questions and comments in News threads.

    LOL

    Captain, we have a mutiny!:diablo:

And now, I’ll pretend to be serious…

GA never said that posting anything apart from the news in this thread has been prohibited. He only said that if someone wanted to discuss things in more depth he would’ve been better off with creating a separate thread.

Fedaykin, if GA (or any other moderator) would let us debate in this thread as much as some of us would want, then we would risk seeing Tango’s posts on every third page…

    More to what?

I don’t think he was an 104’s driver to be so much informed… unlike someone who was and who stays quiet;)

The most misunderstood fighter on this forum: F-35 :diablo:

You really wanna drag Scooter into this discussion:D

RE: F3, I’d never say it was misunderstood. It was designed for one thing and never changed its purpose. It’s a real pity Leuchars’ birds will be retired soon.

What will happen to 111 after they let their babies go? Will they get Typhoons?

And, if I may say, I would nominate the MiG-29. It really got bad record and never did what was expected of it. But, thankfully, we never had a chance to see this plane in its natural role (as a point defense fighter in the Soviet controlled airspace)…

This ship has a lot of foreign content in it as presented. Maintaining this kind of ship could represent real logistical nightmare at some point. Strange they didn’t include Israelis in this weird package.

For comparison, does anybody know how much the Russian Navy pays for Steregushchy?

And what would be the price of the Gowind (in a Multi-Mission Combatant version)?

How much is 20 nuclear warheads?

Where do you intend to buy them:confused:
Plus, they are of not so great value without proper delivery means. Or you plan on sending a lunatic with a backpack who is about to become the most famous suicide bomber?

Or you have idea of buying one of Russian Typhoons (fully packed) which are about to be decommissioned? Which wouldn’t be that bad idea:D

Most of the equipment of Durango seems obsolete and any assault by its neighbors would be a walk in the park for them. Even $2bn would hardly change the situation. Buying a bit of everything for all armed forces would just make them look nice but would hardly make for a credible deterrent.
It really takes a lot of thinking to figure out what can be done with this amount of money, so I’ll think of it tomorrow…

Ukraine’s Antonov aircraft producer to compete for multi-billion U.S. tanker tender

    (via dewline)

    say what?

Good Lord, slowly slowly this tender becomes a real soap opera. Really strange they aren’t offering tanker variant of 225 to the USAF:D
After this, can we expect another “serious” bidder to join the party:diablo:

Any news what is happening with Ka-60 Helicopter , Do they plan to procure it in numbers ?

Beside the news that one Kasatka crashed during its test flight few months ago, this program seems to be a bigger mystery than the PAK-FA…

There is also Egypt with their F-16/MiG-21 combo…

    Not to forget Iran (F-4/5/14, MiG-29, Su-24/25).

BTW, Poland is in Europe as well…

Thanks Don, but they are not my type:D

On a more serious note, what’s the case with the former SU and Eastern European air forces, did they have female fighter pilots or ladies were restricted to transport aviation? And what’s the situation today?

I know that the Russians stopped recruiting female fighter pilots after WWII and that situation remained unchanged till recently. But what about transport aviation and army aviation?

Also interested about Greece and Turkey? Anybody with a good info? Aspis, Orko?

RAF’s first all girl combat helicopter crew is Helmand bound – exclusive

    By Beth Neil 5/12/2009

And these girls are about to make history by becoming the first all-female RAF combat helicopter crew to serve on the front line in Afghanistan.

I don’t know if it is appropriate to say this here, but Sgt. Cole is the hottest crew member I’ve ever seen flying in a military aircraft.

God Lord, calm down people. Ferrari didn’t do the nice thing and taking away the points they earned in the last race would be a kind of fair punishment for them… Banning them would be the most stupid idea one could do… Like it or not, Ferrari is the most known team of F1 circus throughout the World and banning them would create such a counter effect…

A young McLaren driver named Lewis made several “adventures” during this season that were not properly punished and I don’t hear you complaining about that… or you forgot what he has done…

EELightning said it nicely, if you want to punish Ferrari, you would have to punish all of them, as Ferrari are not the only sinners on the fast track…

All I wanted to say is, that talking like this, and taking this situation into account (as the other one with Schumacher and Barrichello 8 years ago) is not fair thinking and this thread clearly looks like anti-Ferrari bashing board.
