@toan,
how did you come to these results? Especially the part with operating and unit cost? Why the Gripen gets 10.00 in both and the Eurocanards suck in these aspects? What did you use as a benchmark? The Gripen:confused:
Or you were just being completely ironic:o
But those are just the scores from 2 out of an unknown number of missions. For all we know, the Gripen could have outperformed Rafale and Typhoon in all the other fields (2 more? 10?). We don’t know how these are weighted. We have no idea about the overall score.
Now, that would be a really wild assumption:eek:
Will there be a referendum on this matter?
Here’s a cute piece of art:)

I like her boots… kinky:diablo:
Oh, Don Chan, you pervert:dev2:
Can we please let this pointless thread die?
Swerve, I’m surprised you even bothered to correct some any of the cr@p in here.
Why do you wanna let this thread die?
If we can’t have new jets, we can have some fun at least:D
Doggie is making some interesting hypothesis, Slobo brings some reality to the thread and Swerve went nuts… can it get better than that:diablo:
perhaps Turkey could buy them off of Greece?
since we’re on that issue maybe a solution to aegean dispute could be made during this crisis. Turkey buys off Imia/Kardak island and pays for Greece’s debts. peace ensues.
Can you really imagine this happening?
If Greek government would even try to sell some military equipment to Turkey the chaos you were able to see on the streets of Athens would look like kids’ game compared what would happen.
You always like to play with extreme ideas, kinky:dev2:
Bartender, I’ll take whatever Slobo’s having:D
Wow, and I thought that only hotdog was of his course here:eek:
But don’t Albanians and Serbians look pretty much the same?
Hotdog, if you had any clue, you would never be saying this stuff. Come to Belgrade, spend a day in the city, walk a lot. Then go to Albania or Kosovo. Trust me, the difference is more than obvious.
the French sure seem to think they have great women.. i think they’re not bad at all. aircraft is prettier though :diablo:
I had 9 French friends coming to both Belgrade and Podgorica in last 5 years. Several times. And all of them, (many of them don’t know each other) were simply stunned with girls here. And especially high percentage of good looking ones.
Lots of aviation related talk here.
Here, if a girl is looking very good we have this expression that sounds weird when translated properly in English: “This chick is an airplane!”
So, yes, we are discussing aviation matters:p
but you could use it to prevent more Albanian populated areas to be lost, or Bulgarian ones. i notice you said cut it short European Israeli equipment, what if it was Russian Chinese?
I will try to explain myself better – I meant equipped like Israelis with all high tech things… Doesn’t matter who is the producer, French, Russians, Israelis, Chinese, Americans, Germans, Brits… whoever… I am only talking of having the best equipment in every field…
Again, Swerve answered about ethnic minorities status, and that would be basically it.
but have you gone to Albania and met girls there?
I’ve been passing through Albania a lot of times with a bus, and later with my car, when I was going to Greece for my studies. Most of the time I spent in Tirana would be a couple of hours on a few occasions, and no, I was not impressed.
btw I always thought the best European girls were Slovak
I will try to express myself better here too. Every country in the world has beautiful women in its population. But, what would be their numbers?
What I’m thinking of here is the high percentage of very beautiful girls that you can see on the streets. That’s why I’d always say Serbian girls are the most beautiful. You can always pick out at least 2 out of ten and say: “God, they are hot!” (or very very beautiful) (and I’m being utterly objective here). While in other countries you would be picking 2 out of 30, 40, 100, 200, 500 and so on…
When I say hot or beautiful, well, I’m thinking of Kate Beckinsale…
you have soem good points.. but how about another example.. Turkey and Israel were good buddies, now Turkey hates Israel. Turkey hated Syria but now loves them. Turkey wants to love you too and yes i thought i posted some info about Turkish military industries wanting to expand into Serbia
Swerve did this for me too:D
You guys should marry Kapendani. perfect pairring 😉
I’ll gladly leave him to you… he’s not my type:D
P.S.
I arrived to Paris this morning, and I dare to say that percentage I was talking about is really bad here, Hotdog. I hope our French friends won’t mind me telling the truth:D
are you saying Serbia does not want Kosovo back?
I never said that.
Serbia would love to see Kosovo back, but I’m afraid that’s not gonna happen. It’s armed forces are a shadow of former selves, and current Serbia’s situation (geopolitical and economical) doesn’t help them develop in a potent military force.
Let me play your game for a moment. Let’s say someone gives Serbia tens of billions of dollars to re-arm. Serbia gets the most modern jets (Rafales, Sukhois, whatever is available), SAMs, MBTs, artillery, APCs, comms… everything in numbers to make an all out war with a potent adversary, including a lot of ammo… to cut it short becomes European Israel equipment-wise. It would still take years to get used to new equipment and reach combat ready status. On the other hand, there’s still NATO in Kosovo (KFOR). Do you think they would just stand aside and let Serbia arm to teeth, train its troops and when ready storm Kosovo:confused:
Pics or i wont believe you!
LOL
I don’t have pics of Serbian girls on my HD. I don’t need that. I can just go out and enjoy:p
Just ask people who have been here, Hotdog.
I studied abroad and did my internships for about 5 years. I’ve seen most of Europe. Since I came back from Switzerland, I’m traveling 5-6 times a year. Almost always for pleasure – meaning, I have time to look for beautiful girls, but result is always the same – when I get back home I get stunned by the beauty of our girls.
All of my friends who visited either Belgrade or Podgorica were also stunned. And all of them share my view. I’m speaking of people who travelled most of the world, and many of them are of different nationalities (in my class there was 30 different nationalities out of 52 students – a real frickin’ UN:D).
times have changed. Germany and Japan are strong US allies, Britain isn’t trying to re-invade the US, and Austria and Hungary have now separated.
You are funny, I give you that:D
Germany and Japan lost the war, that’s why they are US allies. In case they didn’t my name would be Dietrich and yours Yamato… or, we wouldn’t exist at all…
Britain isn’t trying to re-invade the US – guess why? Because they CANNOT. But, would they do that in case they had a feasible chance of coming on top… I guess Swerve or Fedaykin wouldn’t mind seeing HBO as Her Majesty’s loyal servant:diablo: I’ll tell you a secret: they’ll never publicly admit that:p
And Austria and Hungary have been separated for good 93 years… The USSR dissolved… Czechs and Slovaks separated too… Serbia and Montenegro… My ex and I… so what??? All of these (in the last paragraph) were relationships, not hijackings or tortures… You are talking of making allies with someone who had occupied your land for almost 500 years??? It wasn’t a war that started and finished in 20, 30 years. But 500, Hotdog. Are you aware that they are putting big accent on history in schools here, especially on this period?
only nationalists dwell on events of the past and never let go.
IMHO, most of the Serbs are nationalists, so go and figure.
Turkey, under Erdogan helicopters, is trying to expand its influence and would be more than willing to give military aid if it can further their interest.
They are trying to establish some kind of cooperation in certain fields. Military was never mentioned that I know. And beside that Turkey has much closer allies to give surplus equipment to.
P.S.
As for the girls… come and see… but I’m afraid you’d break your neck, as you would be shifting from left to right so quickly:D
serbia wants to keep its albanians???
man, I don’t know what you’ve been smoking, but it must. be some really strong stuff… 😀
Whatever Hotdog’s taking, it must be really strong and has everlasting effect.
Otherwise, he would’ve known that Serbian girls are beautiful, IMHO the most beautiful in the world.
Also, F-4’s are simply a no go. Especially the Turkish ones. Swerve pointed out a multitude of reasons on that matter. Beside that, Serbian-Turkish relationship is far from ideal. The Turks are trying to improve it from economic standpoint, but not anything else. They are having close ties with Muslim minority from Raska (Sanzak), Southeast Serbia. That’s a region that could potentially seek independence one day. And if the SHTF, guess whose assistance they would ask for. Not the one from the West. So, why in hell do you think Turkey would give jets to the Serbs:confused:
Anybody knows which VMF ship arrived to Corfu, Greece, this weekend?
I’ve been here for a couple of days, but didn’t have time to approach the ship and see it’s name. Anyway, they had naval band and choir performing at Liston tonight alongside the Russian Marines.
It’s an amphibious ship and don’t know which class (Alligator, Ropucha, Ivan Rogov)… wasn’t able to distinguish from distance.

What is this, MiG-29 using Kh-31?? Supposedly at Center 2011, though I am not sure about that…
What’s strange about that TR1:confused:
The SMT’s are capable of using Kh-31.
Thank you so much H_K:)
Do you perhaps know what would be the cost of acquiring a Gowind configured this way? I know that the MN is getting it for free (for a 3 year period)? But let’s say an export customer. I know that this is a tough question that includes a lot of variables, but then again, you are so much into the MN and DCNS, so I hope that you can give us a rough figure:)
H_K, are you sure that’s a helo hangar? Doesn’t look like one to me, maybe for UAVs, but helos:confused:
It seems too small to accommodate a helo.
Please, prove me wrong as I like this ship very much:). It could have interesting future if everything goes well with the MN.
I agree. Patrick, you are being objective on most of the topics discussed, but you seem to be a bit off on this one. Better leave it.
When you say Africa, do you mean Africa as a whole continent or just selected group of countries that are positioned in its middle part. Because Egypt, Morocco, Algeria, South Africa et al. don’t seem as a negligible market segment. Don’t you agree?
