Srbin, please don’t get into an argument with SD-10, he provides too much entertainment, let him be. If Iran is in deed interested with the FC-1 which I doubt due to their indegenous effort and strong Russian middlemen working there, would that mean that Iran is also in an arms race with the “undefended Iraq which” would then need the latest in American tech, well from the 4th gen kind at a reasonable price a la South Korea! 🙂

Now I dont want to keep this flaming bs going so either you can pm me or just drop it because this is about aviation and to be precise, I ment that you are dreaming if you think that the FC-1 avionics package will be as advanced as that of the more expensive and more advanced J-10 or Su-30MK2s, so it does not matter if we are not in the know as to what avionics package the FC-1 it will have, we know the list of potential packages and we can look at the projected price difference and quickly realize that the FC-1 will be the less advanced of the other 2 and 99.9995 of the members of AFM will agree with me except for you folks, now how this will suddenly become a twisted flame, only they can tell you and we are all sick of it, the definition of flaming is quite different from yours maybe lol.

Yet another dreamer, the FC-1 will not be as capable as the Su-30s and the J-10, its intent was always to be a cheap BVR fighter and its cheap price will equal to inferior avionics compared to the other two, sorry to be obvious here.

It was also nice to see that nice and smokey RD-33 engine as well, shish I certainly hope that the rd-93 is cleaner.

A nice and long clip, too bad I could not even understand a word but I liked the begining with the American planes and then the FC-1 appears, its also good to see the designers and their offices etc.

My goodness, since most of Taiwan’s air bases will be swarmed with misiles, a Harrier type fighter would have actually been great as a short range air defence fighter.

People seem to be missing the obvious there, the IAF planes had such strike platforms as MiG-27s and about 4-6 escorts which went up against the F-15s for God’s sake so it was not the one sided fight that people want to believe, the strike package were never seeking to engage the F-15s, they were probably trying to fly fast and low.
