I had the impression that the MCA would replace the IAF strike fighters such as the Mirages, MiG-27s, jags etc while the PAK-FA would compliment the Sukhois in air dominance and tough missions.

I understand what he was saying, I just do not believe that it will be that easy for the F-22. The curious question then becomes what the heck is going to happen once China, russia etc get stealth fighters as well, if they do not see each other, how will they engage each other.

I always thought that if and when the F-22 has to launch its Amrams, it would have to go to Encon 3 or something like that, meaning not that stealthy, besides when the internal bays open for the missile to be launched, isn’t it possible to detect it. Also a missile does have a radar cross section, your counter measure system computer could calculate easily that this dot is moving towards you and would alert the pilot, other planes who are data linked might also then be able to detect the F-22 and alert the russian or Euroor Chinese pilot?

All of the TDs and PVs will aparently be painted white, yucky!

The colour white tends to mean good luck, light etc in India culture but still, what a bad paint scheme!
