Forgive my ignorance but how will an aircraft not know if a missile has been launched against it, I always thought that the F-22 would have first shoot capability, I did not know that that ment that the other enemy ac would not even see the missile comming, how are the Russians marketing their planes to countries, buy our plane, but it won’t see the missile comming anyway but don’t worry have some vodka and then sign this contract?
and the Chinese, why bother to develop the J-10 if the J-10 won’t even see the missile comming, there must be more to this that such a simplistic statement?
I cannot believe that it will be that easy for the F-22!
I doubt that 40-60 MiG-29SMTs would pose a threat to NATO!
NATO hastoo many big boys, Morocco will be destroyed since it wil face hundreds of 4th gen fighters backed by AWACS, the MiG-29SMTs are simply bought to provude them with credible air defence and besides they are probably replacing those older airframes, that would btw save MiG’s finances for this decade, note that MiG will be getting an Indian order for the K version as well.
Didn’t the INS Vikrant and its Alizes play an active role in the Indo-Portugal conflict?
But its still unlikely that the PAF would get an AWACS and I cant see the IAF being interested in this missile unless they plan to go for the USN
Very nice pics
especially the F-7!
keep on posting

“I think poeple should stop spreading rumors on this or any projects unless they know for sure.”
lol if we knew for sure, tehn there would be no rumour to spread, rumours are but speculations, if you know for sure, they are no longer rumours!
I certainly hope thata flight sim will be launched with the FC-1, J-10, LCA etc, those were nice pics
True
there is no reason to believe that the PAF would not be getting BVR missiles sometime in this decade, the indirect proof of this is the fact that the IAF is buying Phalcns and pushing reallyreally hard for the upgraded R-77.
Fit this baby with decent avionics, ECM etc and capability to carry China’s future cruise missile and we will have a good tactical bomber.
Damn loads of Indian and Chinese authors 🙂
what is the point of this thread, Chinese peopleare humans after all and hence only havethe human mind as a constraint like the rest of us. These articles are not surprising.
There are a lot of ethinic Chinese, Indians etc in NASA and other research organizations, that is the beauty of America and only in America can such people be successful, fortunately China and India are doing well, maybe one day they will make their peoples as successsful as their expats.
and finally just because Iraq and Serbia used 60s vintage Russian SAMS and lost (although the Serbs did not do that bad) does not mean that Russian equipment stinks either. 20 MiG-29As vs thousands of Allied planes in DS1 and Russian equipment sucks?
By this same logic I shold assume that French equipment stinks as well since Iraq had many French fighters such as Mirages and I believe that its Air Defence Network was French!
There seems to be a campaign by many morons against Russian equipment, just a few days ago there were people saying that a certain plane which is being developed by China (hint: its not the J-10) was equal and/or superior to the Su-30MK(I) etc
This is retarded, the Russian Tu-160 and 22M3s are highly advanced platforms that will make any Yankee captain piXX in his pants.
Tis true that its very tough to detect a CVBG but the Chinese do have spy satelites and subs to look for them, that does not mean that they will detect them but I assume that the Chinese are aware that they will have to detect the CVBG when the Taiwan issue boils up one day and they surely must be developing tactics and buying/developing the necessary equipment to at least be able to find the CVBG. Maybe they cannot do it today but by 2015….

why do you like picking on the poor Kaveri man 🙂
well this hyperplane thing, I won’t take it too seriously till at least 2010 when and by then we should have been able to master that bloody Kaveri!
Nice pics, I wonder if anyone has got some more pics of those F-16s. When was this demo held and what kind of planes articipated?
