While India remains a very strong market for Russian aircraft (especially if they win the MRCA Competition) military exports, especially of aircraft to China continue to dwindle and dwindle.

Ironically enough, it seems the Ukraine have been the biggest winner in all of this. While military export of Russian equipment is drying up, Ukrainian engineers and specialists seem to have been helping the PLAN develop the J-15 naval fighter, refurbishment of the Varyag and providing aircraft engines for PLAAF projects such as the L-15 and JL-8.
