will we all get in the hanger ? :p;):D:diablo::diablo:
Who said it will be in the hangar?
Guys, why mess about, 1200 hrs in front of the Beaufighter, wherever we might park it, both days. Done deal!?
Go with the original design. In the case of the pintle you would not get the grain flow unless you use a forging. We have had new ones machined from hand forged billets that worked very well and were not that expensive. The drawings are available. The cost is in the machining but there are solutions to that.
Is this the one they missed?
Yup!
Murray has almost completed the rebuild of the P-47G wings, shame they didn’t show the P-40F!
I advised Murray not to give up his day job!
A lost opportunity. Murray said they shot a lot of good material but did not use it.
I spoke to one of the TFC engineers, he told me that although the fusealage is coming back it would be up to 3 years before she flies again!
Give me his name, he’s destined for the chain gang!
Look on TFC’s blog to hear the truth, 3 years indeed.
Because it looks pretty and we choose to! Is that a problem?
It now has it’s fin and rudder and is stood on it’s wheels for the first time in more than sixty years.
Come to Legends and see it up close. Maybe by then it will have a tailplane!
Hi Rocketeer
As you are aware we have a propeller for the Gladiator. We are looking for a second. I would be interested to hear details from the data tag attached to your propeller.
Best Regards, Pete Rushen
Very interesting speculation!
Turn it round the other way, how much to put it back in the air? I have seen it, have you?
Is this a genuine sale?
The 22 is being worked on by the back room guys, Henry, Ian and other volunteers with Freddo (Mr. Spitfire) keeping an oversight whilst finishing off the XVIII with Mike.
The P-47G fuselage is due back in April so that will take precedent over the 22 for the time being. With the Gladiator nearing completion the Sea Fury will come to the top again.
Work continues on the Beaufighter with the possibility of the cockpit being fitted shortly. The hunt still goes on for original engines and a second propeller, can you help?
