    ETA didnt do this!

If there is any fool here that thinks ETA was behind the attacks they should really go see a doctor! Here is why

    1. ETA is too stupid to be able to do an attack like this, ETA could screw up a cup of coffee and you really think that they could do something on this scale ?

2.ETA is broke! they have no money, no women, nothing!, Islamic fundamentalists on the on otherhand are up to thier heads in money, and they have the intelligence and the grudge to do this!

So I think it all points to some radical “Islamic” group.

IMHO the whole Pakistani Air Force wouldn’t be able to withstand Soviets for more than several days

Ofcourse! During the 80’s in the height of the cold war I doubt that Western Europe could have held out against the Soviet Airforce, but as the Gulf war showed quality not quantity counts.

Can a A3 reach saudi from say assam with its 4000 Km range?

Oh God not another one! 😮
Thats all people seem to talk about eg

“If I have a IRBM with a range of 1700KM and fire it from my back yeard will it reach kathmandu ?”

    Please try and be sensible.

It was also a year before the IDF/AF received the F-16s which would eventually carry out the Iraq strike

phrozenflame you talk rubbish, the F-16s were in 2 years! yes 2 years before not one! infact the very F-16 that Ilan Ramon flew is in the IDF/AF musuem. Also this talk of Israel attacking Pakistan or Pakistan attacking Israel is wishful thinking on both parts. I mean really! why would either of these two nations want to attack the other, one that is on another continent, a country that either doesnt recognize, not only that the Israeli and Pakistani economies are in dire straits!

This sounds like the talk of the die hard religious zealots ie remember many people were in Pakistan were saying that Israel would attack Pakistan days before its first nuclear tests ? its all rubbish. 😮

I dont want to start a flame war but forgive me for saying
the Russians were the Biggest arms suppliers to Iraq, i guess the
T-72/64/54, the AK-47/RPG’s/Landmines/Hinds/fokkers/foxbats were supplied by the USA and France, please dont put your guilty conscience on the USA and France.

Afterall it was the United States that removed Saddam Insane from power, a figure your nation was more than happy to equip during the Iran-Iraq war and then re-equip them in time for the Gulf war.

The French were against the war because they had very lucrative oil deals with Iraq, However the French will no longer theive from Iraq at the expense of the Iraqi people, the United States will do for Iraq what it did for Germany/Britian/France after world war 11
(Marshall Programme), and for south Korea after the korean war.

lets compare American helped South Korea/Germany/France with Russian helped North Korea/Iraq/Syria.

    Need I go on ?

    I’m only Russian over here.

Prebeit! (sorry if i spealt that wrong)

Its nice to have members from all over the world! It helps towards
building understanding between various communities and helps promote aviation.

Getting back on-topic you should know that I have a great respect for Russians who very heroically faught the Nazis and sometimes died in the process, the world owes Russia and Russians a great deal. However times have changed the cold war is over and yet another has sadly begun India-Pakistan the USA-China and North Korea. The only sad thing is that politics of all these nations are the ones responsible for bloodshed, not the innocent people that live in them.

The Russian airforce is not what it used to be, being beaten by a worthy airforce like Pakistan’s airforce or the Israeli Airforce or the USAF is nothing to be ashamed of!

The Pakistani and Israeli airforces have faught off desperate airmen to protect themselves.
Take this for example your nation Russia had for decades built the
Iraqi war machine equiping it with some of the most crude weapons, and yet when the Israelis made a strike on the Orisiak
reactor in Iraq everyone was calling the Israelis trouble makers
however when the Gulf war began everyone was thanking the Israelis for neutralizing the Nuclear threat posed by Iraq.

So i guess what we are learning from this is dont point the finger.

I agree! Its very sickening to see Indians invading every single Pakistan Airforce related thread and giving bad ratings to Pakistan Airforce threads. Its obvious that Indians are jealous
of the Pakistan Airforce who has always shown an excellent record of professionalism/dedication and galantry much in the same way the Israeli AF has fought off desperate Arab airforces for the past half century.

I would also like to add that as a western well-wisher to Pakistan, Pakistan has always taken actions post september 11th
in a very cordial and dignified manner, I am a firm supporter of Pakistan on the Kashmir issue just like I support Israel on the Palestinian issue.

Either way the Pakistan airforce has chewed up everyone it has fought. Its a good achievement for a smaller country with less money then its rival India.
