Unfortunately I don’t have the luxury of record and fast forward, BUT I am quite fond of the mute button , ESPECIALLY during guilt tripping charity ads. I sympathise, I do, but I can’t afford to give to everyone

    Things that grind my gears……

Women who swear in public…it isn’t ladylike and it puts many men off. It may be an attempt to appear ” equal” … the result is not so…you appear poorly educated and dragged up.

I don’t particularly enjoy hearing anyone swearing in public. Especially when they’re screaming at someone down their mobile phone…
It’s especially worrying when kids do it. The amount of times I’ve had a little brat shout something along the lines of “F**king poof!” at me… When they can’t be much older than 12… I’d never dream of doing anything like that at that age (and that was only 10 years ago for me), or even now, I like to think my parents brought me up to be a well mannered citizen.

Urrrrrrrgh ukip’s antics are making my blood boil more and more by the day… and I am concerned by what I read around various posts on social network sites at how many people are falling for their bull**** .

If ukip put a stop to immigration, and there are still no jobs, I wonder who people would turn on next? homosexuals? The disabled? Women?

When did everyone become so hateful? Surely humans are better united? The world is changing, more and more cultures are starting to entwine with each other. It’s time people started embracing it, rather than creating propaganda to feed peoples’ fear and hate. No amount of ‘foreigners’ are going to stop you being English/Scottish/Welsh/ whatever.

All my opinion of course. I feel better for getting that off my chest.

I think I shall need copious amounts of wine if I am to view their broadcast.

This tweet from Matt Lucas made me chuckle:
“If the kids in the BNP broadcast are the result of a traditional family unit then I’m definitely going to keep on only having sex with men.”

The latest news doing the rounds is that those ukip muppets got their anti-Europe leaflets printed in Germany to save money…

also, “A small chance to make a change.” is one of the many reasons I am voting green. It is a vote based on hope, rather than fear.

thank YOU for being able to disagree in such a civilised manor 🙂 A refreshing change from the usual school playground style disparaging.

Your choice of course Matt, but what exactly are you hoping for by voting “green”?

Before I state reasons, I realise the up coming election is just a European Election, but looking ahead at the big picture….

Staying part of the EU, keeping the NHS public, Better equality, better treatment of the environment (including anti-fracking) , a decent living wage, they come across to me at the moment of being the only party that actually cares about the people by which I mean ALL the people , re-nationalising the railways, de-criminalising drugs (I am a firm believe this will benefit the UK in the long run) , & a crack down Animal Welfare.

There’s a few reasons to be going with. They are currently the only party that appeal to me, if they didn’t exist I’d probably go labour, but I find labour very uninspiring at the moment…

They play on people fears about global warming and other environmental issues…

The hypocrisy from some posters in this thread is astounding, slating UKIP voters for apparently being intolerant, yet they are being completely intolerant towards the views, beliefs and fears of others.

The climate is changing whether you believe it or not.

I am intolerant towards hate fuelled by ignorance… Is that such a bad thing?

Matt, I have reached age when I think it is unlikely that my core beliefs will be changed, but I hope I am reasonably tolerant of others’ beliefs. I hold my hands up – not always, but I try!;)

It’s good, I often forget about the generation gap on this forum

now that I whole heartedly agree with, I think it’ll be a rare case for someone to agree with EVERYTHING a party stands for.

    Why is UKIP ‘far right’?

I would have thought that the desire to leave the EU appealed across the whole voting spectrum?

That’s the problem, people seem to fail to realise that leaving the EU isn’t the only thing ukip stand for, and there are plenty of other parties that wan’t to hold an EU referendum that are less bigoted. In my opinion the whole party is a bunch of scum bags, but I don’t expect many people on this forum to agree with me and this has been discussed in the other ukip thread anyway.

don’t forget , my generation is the one that’ll have to pic up the pieces if a party like that started running things and the uk falls apart.
