I caught the repeat the other night, I really enjoyed it, there was definitely a considerable amount of liquid in my eyes towards the end! I imagined his statement “the aircraft that won the war” would spark a debate on this forum

well, turns out it’s a false alarm http://www.gwent.police.uk/nc/news/article/article/update-maesglas-retail-park/

how disappointing, I mean hooray everyone’s safe, but bit of an anticlimax :p

Was hoping for a scenario like the Christmas special of Call The Midwife, where they have to get the old army bomb disposal expert in to defuse the bomb, and he accidentally sets off the detonator timer and everyone runs for cover and it goes off , but the blast isn’t as big as they estimated and everyone blows a breath of relief and has a nice cup of tea

    ;]

Mods might as well delete this thread if they fancy

This is the first time in a long time I’ve been genuinely saddened by a celebrity death, me and one of my old best friends from school used to watch Bottom all the time!

The question is so utterly unlikely but playing along with your game, unless you are suggesting that each of the other candidates received exactly the same votes in which case the election would be rerun, then a majority of one would suffice. And unless the votes were divisible by 6 one of the candidates would have a majority.

Haha I’m totally aware it’d never happen, I was just wondering , because doesn’t a party need a certain number of seats to win the majority? Which is why the torys asked the Lib Dems to form a coalition to make up the seats because there was a hung parliament at the last election?

Unfortunately or fortunately in 5 years time not alot would’ve changed.Still be 2 main parties lying, fiddling and screwing us all.

What would happen in a circumstance where both Labour and Conservative receive 0 votes, and votes are split almost evenly among 6 or so other parties? There would be no majority so what would happen, assuming no coalitions were proposed?

When I saw the Vulcan at RIAT last year, I must admit I was a little disappointed with it’s performance compared to the INCREDIBLE show it gave at Eastbourne & Shoreham the year before (which rendered me speechless), but I’m sure they had their reasons for putting on a more reduced display at RIAT

Untill last year I was living in Brighton and only ever really used to go to Airbourne and Shoreham (managed to get to legends in 2007 which remains the best airshow ive ever seen) the only display that ever really bored me was the Grob Tutor…

I live in Wales now so getting to Swindon is a it cheaper, I did nearly attend RIAT a few years ago with my Grandpa, but we got all the way up there only to discover it was cancelled due to flooding… typical.

    Why is UKIP ‘far right’?

I would have thought that the desire to leave the EU appealed across the whole voting spectrum?

That’s the problem, people seem to fail to realise that leaving the EU isn’t the only thing ukip stand for, and there are plenty of other parties that wan’t to hold an EU referendum that are less bigoted. In my opinion the whole party is a bunch of scum bags, but I don’t expect many people on this forum to agree with me and this has been discussed in the other ukip thread anyway.

don’t forget , my generation is the one that’ll have to pic up the pieces if a party like that started running things and the uk falls apart.
