See, I think this is closer to what I saw, it could well of been a bomb under each wing http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:P47D-40.JPG although the yellow was definitely plane. At least on the port side , and im pretty sure it wasn’t a bare metal finish because I’d of noticed the sun reflecting of it haha,

I have been trying to think what this aircraft could be for a while now and agree it is most likely a Harvard or …. NA-50 replica – http://www.airliners.net/photo/North-American-NA-50/0693646/M/ :p

I would think this is the most likely aircraft http://northwealdairfieldfunday.com/whats-on/planes/north-american-t6-texan/ if it were not for the drop tanks and cowling shape.

that link definitely looks similar, although what would it be doing over Wales, and does it carry fuel tanks? I also thought it was a harvard at first, but the front looked more oval shaped which is why i thought p47 , it was coming towards me so i saw the front first then it banked around and went back the way it came , I wondered if perhaps it was a near full size RTC model? But it certainly sounded real

I wish I’d reacted faster and got my phone out, but it really took me by surprise, seldom get warbirds around here

Did it not depart from Duxford later part of 2013? >> SEE HERE<<

Regardless, This one had different markings to snafu , either someone is flying one secretly over here or I mistook it for something else, I’ll probably never know haha

    just to re-cap

a radial engine. yellow around the front, *I think* green on top grey underneath, USAF under one wing, a fuel tank under each wing, does it match the description of anything flying in the UK?

Unfortunately I don’t have the luxury of record and fast forward, BUT I am quite fond of the mute button , ESPECIALLY during guilt tripping charity ads. I sympathise, I do, but I can’t afford to give to everyone

Saw this thread pop up at the top again, and with a follow up to my noisy neighbours, I left them a polite note on behalf of the block a couple of days after posting that comment, haven’t heard a sound since 🙂

Please, please, please let the weather and servicability Gods look favourably on at least one of the Shoreham or Eastbourne dates…..

    I second that!

See, this ‘Dr Strangelove’ member is precisely what I was talking about in an earlier comment (I can’t see the post number on my phone). There really is no need to be so arsey…

this ‘slope’ slang has me intrigued, I certainly haven’t come across it before , I just have a mental image now of a chav-esque character exclaiming “mate you iz well slope” haha

    Re 112

“Ludicrous left and Clarkson hilarious”. That is an unusual pairing !

You might be ‘left’ but ludicrous ? I don’t think so !

My flat mate is the same, as are many other left wing supporters I know, I think people need to differentiate between left wing supporters and left wing extremists. I’m not sure being an extremist in anything is particularly healthy.

I just take Jezza with a truck load of salt, as I think everyone should, I’m not remotely a ‘petrol head’ I like vintage the look of pre 1950’s cars but that’s about as far as my interest in cars goes. Yet I really enjoy watching top gear, things like racing airport vehicles, and playing rugy with cars and getting up to all sorts of shenanigans on their foreign travels is just entertaining!

Matt – not sure many of us are “cool” or know how to be……

haha, perhaps I should have worded it, ‘That’s just not cricket.’ ;]

Is it possible that I am the only member of the Jeremy Clarkson Fan Club ? I’m aware that I do not have to do it but, my days are very often ‘clouded’ by reading the witless meanderings of the ludicrous left as published on these Forums..

I am both from the ‘ludicrous left’ and find Jeremy Clarkson hilarious…

what REALLY grinds my gears, is members from the right, seemingly constantly being provocative towards the left and painting everyone with the same brush. Please Stop. It’s getting really quite offensive.

This isn’t a direct dig at you, there are a few members on here that seem intent on being unpleasant and insulting. It’s not cool.

I shan’t be voting ukip because
    A) I despise nearly everything they stand for, while not every member / supporter is racist / xenophobic / homophobic etc , several ARE, and the party is attracting a lot of it, which deeply concerns me.
    B) I’m far too much of a ‘tree hugging lefty loon’ to go anywhere near the right wing
    C) I don’t think we should leave the EU

ukip never mentions all the British citizens that chose to live and work in and around Europe, correct me if I’m wrong, but won’t leaving the EU screw them over…?

Also, if people want a protest vote, go green.
