I too never realised he was a pilot and used to own a Tiger and a Christen Eagle, just goes to show!!

According to this article in The Independant 18th August 1999
    http://www.independent.co.uk/arts-entertainment/you-ask-the-questions-stephen-fry-1113423.html

He seems to not have passed a PPL, just done a bit of flying with a qualified friend in the important seat.

Is it true that you own a Tiger Moth stunt aircraft? Do you still fly it?

    K Lockham, by e-mail

I sold it a couple of years ago. I could fly it. Flying is easy. Unfortunately I couldn’t land it or take off in it with any degree of safety. Those bits are hard. I also get lost after thirty seconds in the air, no matter how well I know the terrain beneath. It just looks so different from up there. You need time to put in the hours. So I relied on an RAF jet pilot member of the family who would do the hard bits for me and let me do the fun, easy, flying, bit.

    Shark Night
A weekend at a lake house in the Louisiana Gulf turns into a nightmare for seven vacationers as they are subjected to shark attacks.

Oh dear a very up and down movie at times it seems almost watchable and then it descends into laughably dire. Certainly not a great shark movie even Jaws 4 seems better [almost] 3/10

    You should watch “Zero Hour”
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0051221/ This is the film Airplane! was based on.
It is almost scene for scene Airplane! but with out the additional humour, even the hero is called Stryker. Watch it and it will make Airplane even funnier.

repcobrab “Thought this band were the best Glam Rock outfit of the 70s and 80s “

They were and that’s where they belong. They were of their time aand place and reforming like so many others would only fulfill a third of that.Memories should sometimes stay as just that.
Now if i had a time machine!;)
