Once you pass through a perfectly safe country (Greece, Italy, France etc) you cease being a refugee and become an economic/social migrant.

With the exception of Belgium, we already have the highest population density in the EU.

    Couldn’t agree more.

If i hear its a P-51B/C [small canopy] i know it is an early model, and the same goes for the D model [big canopy] is a later model. Why confuse things? IMHO :highly_amused:

All those prop aircraft we took for granted then and would pay money to see now! I had forgotten some of those Airlines as well, also being reminded that Gatwick used to have quite a sizeable light aircraft park. You could see a Overseas National DC-8 on approach as a small Piper or Cessna had just landed. Good days.

Z Nation is more of a tongue in cheek look at a zombie outbreak. Though it does make an oblique reference to The Walking Dead in the first episode. Also i do not believe it has any connection to World War Z. The episodes i watched were entertaining enough but TWD is still the best zombie drama on tv, and probably better than most so called normal tv dramas. Can’t wait for season 6.

If i ever got bored of this thread ,[unlikely i think], i would just omit to read from then on, just the way i omit any thread that does not interest me. As for the quality of the photo’s, i couldn’t spot an over processed one from a can of beans.
Also if i see yet another pic of a Spitfire [lovely Aircraft just not my favourite] i would use my little wheel on my mouse and get past as quick as possible.
    Just my 2c worth

I think Airport 79 was purporting to be a fictionalized account of what could happen in the films story, not so called ‘real world’.
It was meant to be nothing more than what it is mindless entertainment to make some dollars. IMHO

I loved the Airport movies as a kid.
I remember seeing Airport 75 and on the way home went past Gatwick were i saw what i was convinced was the tail of the star aircraft a 747 in the movies livery. Turned out to be a Maersk Air 707.Same colours!
Airport based on Arthur Haileys book [which i also read] and starring Dean Martin. Not the film Airplane was based on that was Zero Hour almost scene by scene, which makes that film hilarious to watch.
The aforementioned Airport 75. Beechcraft meets 747 cockpit with tragic facial expressions for Karen Black.
Airport 77 way cool landing Jimmy Stewart’s corporate 747 underwater.
Though i thought Airport 79 was naff.

All though the B-29 is restored to a great finish,i can’t help but think it looked better when it arrived. All weathered and beaten now it looks a little too modely.
[yes that is a word i just thought of it!].
