At the same time, and that is the real reason the Soviets left, it helped to make the war increasingly costly for them up to the point that it was no longer worth it.
.
The Soviets took the decision to withdraw from Afghanistan in 86, the first Stingers arrived in Stan in 87, so much for your theory of the Soviets running scared from the Stinger
Is actually a good think F-15 pilots dont mark their birds with every simulated kill they achieve as there would be alotof embarassed air forces the world over….
Yes of course, also those mighty F-15 marks would look nice on the Su-27`s that paid them a visit at Langley :diablo:
Don’t feed the troll π
That would be you, douchebag. :diablo:
Now. For the uninitiated, DON~T EVER DARE to say something negativ or offending about anything made in the US of A. NEVER. That`s cardinal rule No1 in this forum, remember that. π
F-22 likely NOT bacause of the stealth + suprecruise combo.
B-2 likely YES because is a stealth flying brick. Once detected is dead.
Good to see we have genuine experts on board
Ever heard of this guy ? Ufimtsev, Pyotr ?
http://www.buchhandel.de/detailansicht.aspx?isbn=978-0-470-09771-7
A wise man (that`s not your case, BTW) would not write off russian ingenuity that quickly in order to embrace US PR…..stealth tech as the ultimate stuff.
“It is totally unbelievable that the Russian Air Force was unable to establish air superiority almost to the end of the five-day war, despite the fact that the enemy had no fighter aviation“.
Still no need for AWACS and battlefield management since ten MiG-31 can act as flying shield and ground radarstations can be airlifted in, the day before the war begins. Yadda yadda..
Well at least this Lt Gen Vladimir Shamanov seem to be a clever man. Good for Russia there are brave men like him, and not just uber patriotic chest bangers. The first sign of recovery is to admit ther is an illness that needs to be treated, not ignored. I am revieled to read this article because if this general can influence things in Kremlin and the DoD in the right way, the RuAF might actually learn something from this, react, adapt, evolve and finally grow mouch stronger. So, in fact this might have been a “neccisary evil” or a wake up call. Just hope the generals in charge draw the right conclutions and take appropriate actions. Cuz next time it could be F-15Es and B1Bs dropping JDAMs, (before Appaches and A-10s move in close with Hellfires and clusterbombs) and no ZSU-23-2 mounted on a flat bed lorry will save the poor infantryboys then…
Oh my, you work for the Pentagon, right ?
Well I`am sure the russian officers are full of praise for your precious advices
It seems The F-15 has it over the SU-30, Sadly australia flies the F-18 and are getting more???
ROTFLMAO
Logan Hartke, thanks for sharing your experiences with us. In my view, the F-15 E Strike Eagle, or the F-15 in general is the most under-appreciated fighter plane in military aviation history. It is superior to the variants of Su-27 in all respects, including possibly manoeuverability also.
This is because, despite being much lighter than Su-27 and able to carry much higher external weapon-load, it can execute 9G manouevers. Thus, under only canons, it is likely to outmanouever the Su-27.
 That`s why the yanks flying F-15s(at home) lost the dogfights against the Su-27

Well it`s not my fault I didn`t get to the second page.
Taking in consideration the level of trolling done by some “members”, any sane person would resist only reading a few replies π‘
On 31 Aug 1981 C. L. “Kelly” Johnson announced that the SR-71 (class) has had over 1000 missiles launches against it, but none successful π

No **** ? I`am curious who counted the missiles ? Was it the pilot ? :diablo:
What you don’t believe a Jag could get a kill? :p
I wasn`t reffering about that, let`s call it incident, it`s well known that the Rafale pilot made a critical istake, I was reffering to Jacko`s attitude in this thread trolling around all day long attacking all day long the Rafale and (trying) to point out what super-duper jet is the Typhoon
“What ended up with the best air-to-air kill ratio during TLP?”
Was it the RAF Jaguars? I know they got some kills……:diablo:
or was it Typhoon……?
Jackowhatever, why don`t you and sferrin do US ALL a favour and bug off ? :diablo:
Beautiful pics there :p
Put some more
What was it, 200 innocent passengers dead?
290 passengers in the iranian A300 shot down by USS Vincennes
Shoot that incompetent commander too π‘
First F-22 fanboys will oblitirate S-400 with SDB and GPS guided munition…then Garry will come and say that if any S-400 is attacked that mean nuclear war,and then i will say that S-400 never work alone, but a part of a system.

Awesome
