Wyvern if you keep an eye out on SKY TV there is a programme about the Buccaneer and it shows one flying just above ground level at the Blackburn plant..I taped it and if I can find it I`ll post it.

Tried looking at the film itself on line and among the offerings is a site for a JU-52 named Auntie Ju which is claimed to have been in the film.Type in Auntie JU and a restoration web site comes up with more info.Apparently it was CASA built..

They had an excercise like that up our way last year Tornado .All the emergency services and MRTs working together in harmony then in came a SAR Sea King which couldnt take off again,cant remember why but probably engine trouble.Dont know what the planners made of that?

Own up time I must be losing it..Showed the wife Blue 2`s pictures she was impressed then said they were similar to mine.Upon checking I found she was right .We had a visit to Elvington a few years ago while on holiday and did all the touristy things.I must have gone into yes dear mode as apparently we spent 4 hours there I took some shots and I cant remember being there a second time at all..Anyone else switched off that long on a trip?.

It wasnt a bad day ,a bit wet if I remember but the unexpected Concorde touch and go was a bonus.I`ve got a shot of G-FIRE but taken using a standard lens by the time you blow it up you are left with dots.

Dont think the Repulse/Prince of Wales is a goer as it would show what a bunch of poratts the RN top brass were at the time and probably no ships left that would fit the bill for filming..Esmond VC would probably fail for the same reason even though it SHOULD be made.
