    Unbelievable,

One would expect the councils to have better things to deal with.

i can just imagine the next letter this lady would receive if she did not flush at night.

I am writing following a recent visit to your evil neighbour to ask if you could just not use the bathroom and hold it in during the late night hours, as the smell from not flushing is breaking your neighbour’s sleep and is affecting your neighbour’s health, when before it was the sound of the light switch and toilet flushing.

    Thank you,

Flat Neighbor Complaint Council for SouthWest Wales 2nd Division

were they non-combatants? cos i recall seeing an unloaded MP5 in the background of the pics of the three.

i consider them non-combatants since they were not actively seeking war on any of the belligerents, they were private security guards.

Hey – put a pic on by all means, just we would rather it wasn’t bigger than the rest of your post!

    Flood.

I like my new signature better. Interesting that your signature is larger than your previous post 🙂 .

Is this a face you could raise a gun to? 🙂

I believe if they are going to execute 20,000 koalas it should be done via lethal injection instead of a firing squad, koalas feel pain as well.

Would anyone be surprised now if allied troops were captured and then executed by Iraqi rebels?
Has the actions of these troops done massive harm to the already fragile coalition, and given fuel to its critics around the world?

Do as you would be done by is a fine watch-word in these kinds of situation…

    Flood.

I would not be surprised, there were reports of US Army soldiers surrendering and being executed in the first days of the war. Also a few weeks ago an Italian non-combatant was executed on tape and sent to Al-Jazeera but was not shown.

No i do not think it would do harm to the coalition, i believe everyone in the coalition knows and understands the action taken by these a-holes are not representative of the coalition.

Of course it has given fuel to the critics. Anyone who was for the war might avoid this like if was the plague. While anyone who was against the war will be more than happy to use this in their arguements.

    Escuincle,
could you please put something smaller-sized in your signature? We all love Admiral Akbar, but that’s just a bit too much.

i was not aware that a pic 300 pixels in height would offend anyone, please accept my apologies, the signature has been modified.

Well, considering somebody actually spent money for me to fall asleep during Dances with Wolves (don’t know if i had a nap in a cinema or in front of a TV&video-combo), it might be a success.

On the other hand, it seems that the people who managed to stay awake AND maintained their attention during Dances with Wolves did spot the occasional mistake. I don’t know when the first nuclear reactors were built in the US though: In one of many ‘show the majestic view as they ride’ scenes, you can see the cooling tower of a nuclear reactor.

I saw the movie Battle of Britain (1969) a few days ago, i was upset because I noticed all 12 mistakes in the film, it was not 100% historically accurate 🙂

So I am assuming if it is an EU thing the Russians didn’t veto it… so who did?

Russia did veto a Security Council draft resolution on Cyprus.

As to wanting to make peace with Hitler, I felt it would enhance the story. Make it a bit groovier. No point in getting facts in the way of a good story after all.

    Which brings us full circle.

    are you referring to this?

below is link to the a telegram sent by President Roosevelt to Hitler sent on 14 APR 1939:
    http://www.usembassy.de/usa/etexts/ga3-390414.htm

    Roosevelt basically asks Hitler:
“Are you willing to give assurance that your armed forces will not attack or invade the territory or possessions of the following independent nations: Finland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, The Netherlands, Belgium, Great Britain and Ireland, France, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Luxemburg, Poland, Hungary, Rumania, Yugoslavia, Russia, Bulgaria, Greece, Turkey, Iraq, the Arabias, Syria, Palestine, Egypt and Iran. “
