Has anyone got a contact number for Peter Campbell (Mobile number etc). My other half has ‘misplaced’ my joining instructions and I cant remember my booking in number… What a way to stop me flying in!

Train to Biggleswade and then walk, or get a cab. I did it when I was a teenager and its about 3 miles

I believe John Crewdson was killed when the Alouette II he was flying crashed on a sandbank in the Wash, ISTR in 1983?? The Helicopter was G-AWAP, so maybe a trawl through the archives will give the date?

Propstrike,

There are no restrictions on European warbirds displaying in the UK, other than those which apply to every other permit to fly aircraft. One of the requirements is compliance with engineering oversight similar to the UKs CAP632 & A8-20 system. I believe the CAA restrict the time allowed in the UK to 3 months IIRC.

Thanks for that.

I also looked on G-INFO before posting, but was hoping to find out ‘where’ they were. Were they on rebuild, or damaged beyond repair etc..
