RE: Rubish
We do, it’s called the Premier League :). In all seriousness, we will not have a cohesive team until our star players stop flying off to the big European leagues chasing the cash and support our local league instead…

RE: your favourite cities
Haven’t travelled much (5 cities would be about all I’ve been to internationally :)), but I really liked San Francisco when I was there.

Me, sit in front of a computer all night and day dreaming of being in the forces? But aren’t u the one that troddles the internet for every little bit of slightly newsworthy piece of information you can find for that extra post, and “read every single military mag that comes out each month”? 😉
Don’t get me wrong Ja, I’m not just bitching, I’m a sceptic, give me proof that you have access to the sort of information you profess to have, and I’ll believe you. I don’t post information that requires a “senior officer in the RAAF” to prove. Some of the things you have posted about the RAAF, I – being a sceptic – simply find hard to believe on your word alone (replacing H’s in the near future with more J’s, Flankers being a viable and seriously looked at proposition for AIR6000 among a few).
Tomel, I hope you didn’t take offence to my post. I’m not that familiar with Malaysia’s internal security situation, although I have friends and family over who “cannot speak their mind”. If you genuinely feel you are in trouble, I do feel for you, you are a valuable contribution to this forum, and should anything happen, it would sadden me – although if you have been posting information that would compromise your country’s security, I would have no qualms in calling you a traitor. Take care, good luck.

RE: If you dont hear from me .
Tomel, if the Malaysian government wanted to exercise their ISA muscles, they would have done it already, so stop whining ;).

Australian, born in Malaysia (of Chinese ethnicity), migrated to Australia when I was 18 months old, so not much Malaysian/Chinese in me :).

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 10-06-02 AT 02:11 PM (GMT)]Dutchy, did you mean extract when u said invade? 🙂 “By any means possible” probably means at most (illegal) extraction…
MinMiester
PS: Of course, it would be perfectly “legal” on the American side to perform the extraction, they’re politicians continue to believe they do not need to conform to the laws of the rest of the world…not the sign of a good leader…
Malay, Indonesian, it’s all the same…
…really, they’re very much the same
How’s this attempt Tomel:
I am fluent in reading and writing in Malay, Indonesian and English. I can also use some Thai and Tagalog, but not as fluently/well.
There, how’s that!
You seem like a very proud Malaysian. You may find it of interest that I was born in Malaysia, but migrated to Australia at a very young age.
Where in Malaysia are you?

RE: What Languages do you speak?
English of course, passable in Indonesian, Cantonese, Mandarin and Hakka, used to know a bit of Italian too…know some basic phrases in French, German and Japanese.

RE: Australia:Defence Review
Because we may be a huge country (size of the continental US), but we have a population and economy similar in size to that of the Netherlands. We simply can’t afford an aircraft carrier or two, whilst maintaining the current levels of equipment and training for the 3 main services (we have a defence budget of approx. USD$7bn, a CVBG would take a huge chunk out of this every year).

RE: Commonwealth Games 2002, Manchester
Don’t you guys thinkt the Commonwealth games are getting a little boring nowadays??? Australia’s sporting supremacy within the Commonwealth nations is getting kinda embarassing for the whole competition isn’t it? 🙂
