RE: planes you would like to own

When you look close, modern aerobatic planes share alot in common with WW2 fighters. They may not be as fast as their freight train engine ancestors, but aerodynamically their incredably efficient. Take a look at this pic and youll see that the Su-26 shares alot in common with planes like the Fw-190 or La-5.

RE: Schumi joined the Third Reich?

seahawk- Being made fun of is never nice. But if your going to make fun of someone, I think its better that you choose a people who are better off than you rather than put down people like poor imigrants from asia, africa, etc. Germany is a very well off country, and if anyone has room to take a ribbing from somebody, it should be people like Germans, Japaneese or Americans . BTW, Germany did try to take over the world and almost succeeded, I think its healthy to face that reallity.

    RE: Parallel Universes

The whole idea of a “universe” is mans attept to fabricate completeness to his existance, a sort of need for a god. Just the same way seafarers said longago that the sea had an end where you fell off and could go no further or astronmers thought that the sky was a shell with stars embedded in it. There is a limit to how far we can see with the most powerfull telescopes we use today. Astronomers somehow would like to imagine we can see the major extent of what we term as the “universe”. But really this is not even a plausable guess. We dont no to what extent of the “universe” we can see, or if what we can see is part of a univese at all.

    RE: speed of dark II….continues

munnst- I didnt say there werent parallel universes, I said if there were parallel universes, they would no longer each be universes but facets of a larger overall universe. Ive also never tried to imply either that scientists have all the answeres, only that they methodically prove things they claim as true. A philosopher in my opinion is more of an abstract artist that simply paints a picture of something that gives a view to new possibilitys.

“Everything exists in our mind and nowhere else.
If there was no living thing to perceive that things existed how would you know?
Do you believe in parallel universes?”

munnst-If you dont believe in any consistant reallity, the idea of parrallel univeses is irrellivant. One of the ways I think Steven Hawking embarrases himself is his theorys of time travel, matter cannot occupy space of other matter, so his ideas of munipulting the past to alter the present reality is impossible, hence the nessecity of parallel universes (which cant exist, otherwise they wouldnt be universes). As GarryB mentioned in the first thread, every force reverbatates across the entire univese. Stars are displaced by tiny but mathematically calculable amount by the very movement of your hand. What Im getting at, is you wont walk out your door and find the empire state building planted there without effecting the physics of the entire universe. Like wise not one atom on your toenail can be displaced without affecting all atoms surrounding (basically the entire universe)

    RE: Pornography! ! ! !

saab- I dont agree that there is an obligation to love in the marriage type of commitment when having sex. Love is something that has to be earned, when woman say “Im only wanted for my body and not my mind”, how self centered this is. I mean, Id sure like for people to want me for my mind, but I dont expect to obligate people people morally to feel this for me. Do you “love” me for my mind? Should you have to “love” a woman because your having sex with her, but not have the same obligation to “love” a man because your not having sex with him? I think its great that you only want to have sex with a woman whom your in a life long commitment with, but if others have sex simply in a freind relationship for pleasurable attraction, you have no right to debase this as “unfeeling”, “unloving”, “dehumanizing”. There are some people who cant handle this lifesyle and will indeed injure themselves by trying to get involved sexually outside of marriage, but this is a psychological orientation that doesnt apply to all.
