RE: Weird Things You Would Never Know!!

Thats not true about the electric chair being invented by a dentist. It was invented by none other than Thomas Edison. There were alot of complaints about hanging being used for capital punishment because alot of people werent dying right away, but slowly being strangled to death. Thomas Edison was fiercly opposed to alternating current, so to prove that it was dangerous, he suggested using, and built an electric chair. The first electricution was a failure, the person did not die during the first try, and there was smoke coming out his head, it took to more trys to finally kill him.

    RE: SCIENCE: SWIMMERS & ATHLETES! ! ! !

adonis- To give you an example, when I go to the beach, I very rarely see black people swimming, they just hangout or cruise the boardwalk. I recall learning to swim as a child, it was a harrowing experience, and took alot of family members time and help to make it a success for me. I simply dont think its something that blacks grow up doing. A similar comparison was in WW1 and WW2, most sailors were unable to swim and drown went their ships were sunk, I guess because they were drawn mostly from lowerclass backgrounds where they never experienced swimming.

    RE: My First Solo

Good job F-4. I did some flight training in the 152 myself, although I found it to be plenty fast, it felt underpowered and a little stretched on a climb. If your like me, youll be anxious to move up to other a/c. Aerobatics training and a sailplane license I think are good things to make a pilot well rounded and ready for the unexpected.

I think its simply because they dont have access to swimming as much as whites. For example blacks are already having huge success at sports like golf, tennis and hockey even though their represented by very small numbers in these sports.

    RE: What would you do?

Kabir-You should buy the official guidebook for Max Paine, Ive seen it sold in gaming shops, or check the internet for forums/FAQs/tips/walkthoughs on that game. Ive had to do the same for Zelda on my gameboy advance, even after reading what to do, Im still ready to crush that game cartridge under my foot.

    RE: Asteroid approaching earth.

I saw on telivision some film footage taken in canada of a large meteorite streaking across the sky. The announcer mentioning that this was a near miss and that it was estimated that an asteroid of that size would have destroyed a major part of the world. Im not sure what to think of that because Id think such an incident would have created greater attention than that.

RE: Is Hollywood working together with the Pentagon?

The worst patriotic movie Ive seen as late was “Pearl”. Watching those 2 guys being chased by zeros for five minutes without takeing evasive manuevers is just loony tunes. The whole movie was just force fed patriotic bluster.
