RE: Ja no need for this

I dont think Im being intolerant by saying this, but when ever you see someone wearing a “Jesus Saves” t-shirt, isnt that just like a sign on their back warning “BEWARE OF JERK”? Is there anything worse than an ***hole with God on his side?

    RE: Something completely different..

The poitical background of your story cant be too outlandish. At this point of time south america and most of the world for that matter is at peace, and trying to sell a story where south american countrys team up against eachother to invade a conquere will be a hard sell. Things can change radically as history as shown and all that could happen in the future, but if you want a story to take place in the present, Id suggest focusing on the technical aspects of an isolated military conflict. The thread I suggested before in the archive has alot of material for making a good novel:”Tu-22M Backfires vs. CVBG”. Hunt for Red October didnt have a storyline per se. It was just a good book documenting an incident.

    RE: Please be honest.

Im american, and overall think its a good country with good systems and standards to live by. Unfortunatly those standards stopped short of me being allowed to marry a foreign wife. Ive been living in Mexico for the good part of 2 years and would eventually like to become a citizen here. Its quite difficult though and Im seeing first hand how difficult it is to succeed without having a connection to the US.

    RE: American Invation and Agression

Im an american, Id like to say that I understand everything your saying. But I think youve waited till a moment when things finally became “inconvenient” for you to say it. Noone has complained how the US has been treating developing countrys all these years, not even the developing countrys themselves. Because the world has experienced economic growth of which the US is a very major part, it never seemed to bother anyone that the US treats poor countrys like children who dont know how to act properyly. But now that the US is stepping on european toes, everyone is crying foul. Well theres alot the US has to change, but theyre going to have to back up quite aways to change it.

    RE: I love u Microsoft

Microsoft has made it clear they no longer want to support drivers for any pre-XP OSs and plan to make them all obsolete. I happen to think that XP is cheeseball and is just a bunch of cheap add-ons and glitz and which has nothing more than the win2000 underneith. Im happy with win98 and 2000 and unless MS plans to make a real improvement to these OSs, I really dont want to change, and definately not be forced to use a clown hash-up like XP.

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 04-06-02 AT 01:11 AM (GMT)]Glenn- I have know idea how that wench could have become miss mexico. I have a few girlfreinds down in oaxaca that put her to shame. Unfortunatly Im not much of a picture taker, so dont have any good photos of them to post. I could go to a major mall here in tijauna, and in about a half hours time I could get a dozen or so photos of girls who are just knockouts.
Infact I think all of us in this forum could go around our hometowns with a camera and take photos of girls who are alot better looking then Sara Michele Geller or Jenifer Anisten. We could compile the 100 hottest looking women in the world from our respective countys. If we all submit about 10 photos each we could probably have a couple hundred to vote on. Now that summers here, you guys from europe should get some shots of young firm topless girls at the beach, that would be nice.

Mixtecs are a native group of mexico that mostly live around the state of Oaxaca, where Ive lived for quite a while in the past. I think it sounds “techy” for this forum while still having a personal reminisence for myself. My real name is Brad.

Flanker-Go to search and look up in the archive “Tu-22M Backfires vs. CVBG”(unfortunately you cant post on/bring up again archived threads 🙁 ). That thread really has some great hypothetical analysis. Infact, its technical accuracy and not the story that makes a good military novel. Tom Clancys Hunt for Red October was a smash success because he had naval personal proofread his book and correct all the inaccuracys. In my opinion every book after Red October shows Clancy for being just another run of the mill military author.
