We produce spot-on accurate bolts for the spade grips, all 3. The gun button bolt, brake lever bolt and parking brake bolt. We also do the gun buttons and brake levers, they are resin, but in terms of accuracy, you can’t get better. Hope that helps.

    Hello Mark,

Frame 8 isn’t hugely complicated, depending of course on how complicated you want to make it!! 2 main pressings, a bunch of angled pieces, and a nice thicker top section…plus a few bags of different rivets. Makes it sounds easy I appreciate.

We did a bit for this film, providing quite a lot of the detail bits for the close-ups in the Spitfire, so we’re very keen to go and see it. I think the thing to remember with any film is that it will always be a compromise. Think of The Battle of Britain, how much was inaccurate in that, and yet it is rightly held up as a true classic. I hope that any film I see allows me to suspend disbelief for the time that I am watching it, and buy in to the director’s vision. I’m pretty sure this one will going by everyone’s reviews here.

Regarding replica grips etc, we are extremely proud of the quality of our work and in bringing rare original items within reach of more people, but will ALWAYS be upfront about them being replicas. Integrity is so important, and one of the reasons that we began doing this was to help to maintain the importance of the history of aviation that we respect fully.

    Hello Krupi,

Thank you for the encouragement, it has certainly been a long haul to get to this point.

We’ve had parts made up in batches so would be reluctant at this stage to split them. How much of one do you have?

    Thanks,

    Krupi,

The spade grip at that point is oval in shape, the widest dimension is approximately 1″.

    Hope that helps
