Very nice!
I see a potential center of gravity problem with weapons and external fuel loaded. Also the landing gear position (main) might be too far aft which may increase take off distances and aerobraking on landing may not be possible either.
Looks great though any more pictures?
Crobato,
Col.John Boyd doctrine, I think, is based on energy fighters. Today’s aircraft have maneuvering capabilities that would have probably resulted in the aircraft his doctrine was based on departing.
This is why all ACM is tailored to the aircrafts abilities. Any combat pilot wants to fight the type of fight that gives THEM the advantage. Their goal will be to lead or drag you into a position where their aircraft, training and systems give them a clear advantage.
If you get a zoomer into a turn fight with a pointer….the best trained pilot will win
If you get a pointer into a power match with a zoomer…..the best trained pilot will win
If you get a ….etc. the best trained pilot will win
😀
In what ways is the F-15C better looking than the F-15A? Just curious.
LOL…you are mean Arthur….just plain mean 🙂
Does this mean that McDonnell Douglas was correct when they told them you can’t do all you want with just one engine? 😀 I liked their entry better but I could be biased.
Hi,
I’m also an R/C model builder. This is my favorite site and they have some good drawings. But not all have sectionals.

Ok guys thanks,
I will have to draw the other views….I actually have more room than you think. So don’t rule out my design yet. 😉
Is mine sooooo bad that no one will comment 😀
I hope a 3 veiw drawing wasn’t a requirement as all that was available at press time was the concept veiw. 😀
The intakes are under the LEX with a hint of the YF-23 type arrangement top and bottom and F/A-18 and F-35.
This is from the Encarta World English Dictionary
stable /sta’yb’l/ n. 1. a building in which horses, and sometimes other large types af livestock, are kept. 2 the group of horses, especially racehorses, owned by one person (company) or kept and trained at one establishment.
Notice heritage was never mentioned 😀 By stable I meant that it shared its point of origin…both built in the Missouri.

The same stable? The Hornet is a Northrop design, steroid-fed by McDonnel-Douglas and now being auctioned by Boeing. If you want to compare this Son Of Many Fathers (or ba$tard if you will) with a nice thoroughbred like the Phantom…. Blasphemy!
I knew but with all you bug haters in here I figured it would be a waste.
The Super Hornet and Phantom are from the same stable so it is only fitting…..I guess you guys would have preferred it go to the F-35:rolleyes:
Srbin,
Cold war relic? That is a bit extreme, you really appear to a fan of the Typhoon and the Rafale and that is fine.
The US has opted to maintain its high-end air force and it will pay whatever takes to ensure it is on top when it comes to equipment.
If you were the US and wanted to replace its F-15 what would it be capable of? If you were to replace the F/A-18AC, F-16 and AV-8B what would you do? I am not a fan of the F-22 but I’m sure it will perform fine when and IF the need arises.
The F-35 hurting but I think it may too far along to be vaporware…ie too many other parties involved. They will fix it, and it won’t be cheap. The Typhoon and Rafale aren’t all that inexpensive considering they are mainly A2A airframes.
BTW, most of the F-22 and F-35 capabilites are still classified so most of what we discuss is mute…..except for the price 😀
Well if those vertical fins can stay attached to the aircraft it might have a chance 😀
He is one of mine….that computer art is too cool but I’m a pencil and paper guy.
Some poor guy took his R/C jet flying skills, which requires them to land on grass sometimes, and applied these grass landing skills to the full scale F-16. But he forgot to leave the gear up. 😀
One has to wonder if installation of the weapon bays and other real world components that wasn’t on the X-35 is the problem.
