Seems to be of two different ac, I’m guessing that the second is the KJ200 (Y8 based AWACS). Probably just half the full width, with the same setup on the other side.

Actually, come to think of it, the first pic looks awfully like the interior of Embraer ERJ 145 series jets being jointly built in China. Could be something new here.

hmm the more I thought about this this can’t be a Y-8!. I never seen a Y-8 with window!. so this platfrom in entirely new and the Embraer ERJ 145 is possiably for sure!.

    de-magnetic

tell me sometihng what if a plane or anything eles genarate a de-magnetic field around the plane wouldn’t this cancel out or make mircowave fall apart and no radar signal is tramitted back?. since electro magnetic specturm which inclued radio wave plus entired light specturm visable and non visable infared and ultr voilet is part of the electro magnetic specturm. wouldn’t this be a ultimate invisable plane or ships?.

Presonally i dont think that it is the case. Russia although willing to sell fighters might still weigh the pro’s and cons and choose not to do this ( even though their export wing has US sanctions although that makes zero difference) . Sukhoi has done quite well with export orders ( China, malaysia, india, vensz and i prob missed a few) and seemed to be pet favourites of putin in getting state aid to continue work further .

they haven’t sold any flanker to china in years.even the J-11 production line came to the end.they ready to built 2 engine J-10.

In theory, crashing a hi-jacked airliner into Pentagon would be ten times more laughable than the scenario of sinking a CVN class ship with Kh-59 launched from Su-30MK.

not if it has a nuclear warhead!.

    [QUOTE=danrh]

The former Shah’s regime was one of the best customers for the TOW. IIRC the new regime manufactures new systems based on the TOW that incorporate equivalent improvements to those those seen in the US’s own TOW improvement programs.

    Daniel

check the date on the box’s.these are not 30 yrs TOW.

watching last friday on fox news channel they show a Merkava 4 getting hit directly on the turret with a missles which was a huge explostion killing 3 outta 4 ctreew [just to show only the commander survide! becuase he sitting in a armor shell and the only way out of the tank is just the commader hatch on top of the turret a design flaw with Merkava 4 while the rest of the crew if your still alive and not on fire or bleeding you may it out of the tank tru the rear door] not saying they don’t have the sagger probaly they do!. but they have larger anit-missles it seem.

it is hard to imagine now, but at the end of hostilities in 1945 the RAF alone had something like 57.000 aircraft on its books, and 1.000.000 personal.. the Royal Navy probabley had more ships then all the navys in the world today put together.. i agree it is very sad to see our beloved armed forces being slowly wittled down to nothing. but i am afraid its the sign of the times.. realisticly most nations just dont need huge airforces ,navys enymore.. but i do agree that its getting a bit passed a joke now…

it just history repeating itself it happen to the greek, the roman empire ottoman turks, etc.both powerful army and navy.but now it’s just the british turn somedat it’s going happen to the US.they dream is just too vast.

The Taiwanese actually have unfettered access to the Chinese market. Taiwan is the largest investor in China after Hong Kong. China is Taiwan’s largest market and is currently at the point where if Taiwan is cut off from the Chinese market, the Taiwanese economy would actually collapse.

The human connection is binding tighter and tighter every year. There are a million and half Taiwanese living in China. When Olympics are held millions of Taiwanese cheer on Chinese athletes as a matter of Chinese pride. There are huge amounts of Taiwanese Americans cheering on Yao Ming.

The most highly publicized cases of Chinese espionage in the US were actually Taiwanese. China doesn’t want war and is pursuing the exactly the course that you describe. The only ones that “want” war are those on the American and Japanese right who is encouraging the lame duck Chen Shu-bian.

There won’t be war if it were up to China because time is on China’s side. Every year that goes by Taiwan and the mainland is binded tighter through economics, culture and people exchanges.

There can ONLY be war if the Taiwanese independence folks believe that the US will fight for them. Because there is no guarantee that all of the ROC’s armed forces will fight for an independent “Formosa.” In fact, the Taiwanese military had always be taught to fight for a united China.

europe is china largest market fallow by japan then US. and taiwan investment in china is about 60 billions .this comes in 4th place where oversea chinese {HK,US,SINGOPORE,etc}not inclueded taiwan is the largest investor in china.
