Nice pictures.
Do a lot of people get there on the Friday ?
I expect viewing is restricted, with the erecting of marquees etc ?
Thanks for your comments, I usually go Thurs/Friday & 1 Airshow day, viewing is less restricted by crowds on the weekdays and more relaxed for photography, The museum is a bit busier on the Friday than usual but still plenty of space, I usually get about 80% of my Legends / Warbird photos on the weekdays, catching up with a few more on Airshow day.

Thanks to all the replies, I think we can call this solved, it is Lakenheath Airshow 1988, although I cant remember going ((I did go to a lot in those days!)
Thanks to “Archer ” for the participant list it help nail the location, I have other unidentified airframes which I have tied up with the list, A later slide in the roll (Below) shows a F16 with the Phantom which is also on the list (288)
Thanks again 😀

Thanks all, The consensus is RAF Lakenheath Airshow 1988 , taken from maids hill on the west side, although I cant remember going :confused: its probably an age thing 😀 Thanks again.
Its got to be UK, I have never photographed abroad, and they are all my slides, this picture is one of a set of 4 the phantom is accompanied by a Spang F16
No, its not Spang, this particular phantom was common at UK airshows in the eighty,s I have other photos of it at Mildenhall, Ive never been to spang, the image is in the UK, ……. somewhere ????
Should add this would have been shot at an Airshow, cant find any trace of Woodbridge hosting an airshow…
Hi Easyrider525B,
Just thought I would say fantastic pictures as always but in the Nimrod picture the forward fuselage looks dull is this it’s natural colour or lighting conditions within the hanger please as I assumed that it would be glossy ? :confused:Geoff.
Hi Geoff,
Thanks for your comments (And others that have commented) I have quickly re-edited the raw file of the Nimrod and got a similar result, also checked other pics of same aircraft on flickr and it seems the Nimrods finish is indeed quite “flat” and the image I posted is a pretty accurate representation.
Cheers
Mark
Went along today knowing the weather was poor, no flying predictably, had a look around inside;
