I had looked at the usual suspects, Golf, Focus Astra and Audi A3 BMW 1series…don’t get me wrong all superb cars however i was sat at some traffic lights and see a C4 coupe pull out of the dealership on test drive… In i went and the rests history! As you say superb interior, as good as if not better than the above mentioned and some ‘different’ looks… Value for money ment it was the cheapest (except for the Focus) by the time i had specced it up!!!!!

‘Lets Dance’ as they say 😀

I wouldn’t believe anything you read in a motoring magazine…one man/womens opinion. Go test drive it and find out for yourself!!!

Has anyone considered sending details of this display to the national newspapers. It might result in some interesting reading.

Maybe emphasise how close we really came…. 😮 Reminds me of a ‘Modern Day Picture’ of Buckingham Palace with the swastikas hanging on the side of the palace 🙁 I believe the caption read If but for the few??? I think the Daily Mail printed the pic?

some of the Jaguar buildings still carry ‘camo’ paint. The majority of the buildings are the original war time ones…

Hi guys, been busy for a while, but in my limited spare time, got to thinking ‘What if, THE MOST GRACEFUL fighter plane of the 2nd World War, had a radial instead of an inline !’.

Been thinking about it and have come up with a few questions (there are probably loads more but I’ll leave that for you guys to chew the fat over)

Radials have some advantages over an inline water cooled I.C.E.

You wouldnt need the radiators under the wings / fuselage reducing drag…even though the radial would normally have a greater forward cross section

You could get a similar horsepower output (not sure about about fuel consumption tho ?)

Not sure about mechanical complexity either

What view from the cockpit….better or worse ?

    Simpler engine change requirements ?

Any difference in engine management complexity

    Over to you guys

    We’d have lost the war!!! 😮 😉

Formula 1 is still very exciting IMO.

Which F1 have you been watching! 😮 😀

Gotta say that i aint that bothered, The ‘Red cars’ dominance is slightly boring then at the end of each season its “Lets change the rules!”

Been to the GP a couple of times in the past few years, privilieged to get discounted tickets with a paddock pass, last year i payed £85.00 for a ticket that costs £200 on the open market… Quite possibly the worst £85.00 i have ever spent! A procession of cars and a guess as to who’s in the lead! The best bit was the pace car!!! As for my Paddock pass! Didn’t get anywhere near an F1 car…not even to take a picture 😡 As for the merchandise 😮 A polo shirt i paid £12.00 for was being sold by many retailers for £45.00!

So when i pay £18.00 (or what ever) to get into a DX show then a few quid to walk down to walk down the flight line i can’t help but think what great value for money it is!

Then you pay a tenner to get into things like Chailey and it just gets better!!!!

So goodbye F1 and good ridance to the ‘circus’ that Bernie Eccleston takes with him…

Sumed up by a friend who attended an airshow for the first time at Chailey this year… he said

£10 to see Ray Hanna fly that Spit or £85.00 to watch Schumacher to drive round Silverstone! Worlds gone Mad!”
