In america they celebrate 4th July, The French have a national holiday for some patriotic reason? but here in good old blighty!!! well must becareful we don’t upset anyone because we want to celebrate/remember the Battle of Britain for one thing!

The photo’s on this thread are superb, i guess the 1988 airshow season was one for Spitfires.
I remember seeing a trio of spits painted in Ficticous markings for the 2000? show season, i think they were used in Pearl Harbor (Not my favourite Film!) i always thought they looked superb displaying together!
they must be the ones! wow wonder what they are up to now???

A friend of mine sold a van to a guy who told him that there was a complete spitfire crated and 90% of a second one, later MK versions with Griffons???!!!!
He said they were in a Barn in Newport Pagnell ??!!!

I heard a rumor that someone in Newport Pagnell Bucks has a crated Spitfire sat in a barn, i wonder how many warbirds are tucked away in barns waiting to take to the sky???

Ive only taken an intrest in ‘Warbirds’ in the last few years however i remember as a child watching POC on tv (LWT i think) super theme tune! ive not seen the series since however read the book many times.
Is POC available on DVD yet? and does anyone have any ideas of where i could trace down the ‘making of…’ book. (I have a feeling Daz may be able to help with this one!?;) No Pressure Daz!’
