    RE: Model Aircraft

I only started collecting this year but i have,

    Thai 747
    Monarch A320
    BA 744
    BA Concord
    BMI A330

I find the best place to get them (if you are local like me 🙂 or if you are just passing through) is the aviation shop on top of the T1 car park at MAN. They have a large supply. Also FlightDeck near MAN is pretty good as well.

I am buying more but running out of money.

p.s. Does anybody know if there is a BAE 146 available and in what liveries?

    Regards

    RE: Double decker plane banter

I despise Jade but on this instance i have to agree. I was on an Airtours 2 years back and my brother has been on it 2 weeks ago as MYT. I was an A330 and it does indeed have downstairs toilets (5 i believe). Sorry but they obviously havent been on this aircraft. Jade may very well have a mild blood clot, looking at the front of the sun yesterday i believe that she has.

    RE: MYT Flight from MAN

    Thanx for that info.

I have done the florida flight 12 times now and i have flown on the airtours (MYT) A330 twice return. It is a fabolus aircraft with downstairs toilets and seat back TV’s, they really set the charter standard with that aircraft.

Used to be an airforce base but after the war it was disused. It is now used for refitting airbus’ from airline to freight.

This is off a very reliable source.

RE: What is your all time favourite airliner?

How could the 777 be that far down the list????

For looks i have to go with the stunning A340-600, especilly in house colours.

Also i love the beluga, a fine looking aircraft, in an ugly sort of way.

my other fave is the BAE 146, it looks sooooo good in BA livery, also the tri star is at the top of my list.

    There are far too many,

B744, B757, B737- next generation, A330, A319, A318 all good looking aircraft. Why would we even be posting on here if we didnt like the look of them???

RE: New MONARCH livery in the flesh!

I was quite a fan of the old one here at Manchester, but i am quite pleased with the new one.

Out of all the new colour schemes, especially ‘MY TRAVEL’ it is by far the best.

Will JMC change theirs because i really dont like it at all and never have.

RE: Greatest Airlines of the World

Not that i like them or anything, but if size is an issue then Delta have to be included in this list.

They are very big, but i am not sure where they come in this list.

I believe that BA have got to be the greatest airline of all, because they are just superb.

RE: What is Air 2000 like to fly?

I have flown Air 2000 about 5 times now, all from manchester and back. In all they r a good airline but only the average that you can expect from a charter airline. The aircraft are always clean, on the inside anyway, and the staff friendly. The entertainment, in my opinion, leaves a lot to be desired as did the catering on the last 2 flights i have been on.

It will Prolly be a good flight. 🙂

    RE: First bmibaby aircraft painted

I think the livery is actually quite good…..

It is not the best i have seen but really it is quite nice.

The MY TRAVEL livery is really poor, why waste a good corporate brand name and image (airtours) with such a poor livery???

    I hope BMIbaby does well

Are they going to be flying to MAN at any point??? I would like to see it in the flesh.

    Regards MIK€.

Chicago Megs Field? It looks a bit like the one off FS98. Dont think it is though.

    RE: Airports!

I call MAN. I live only 20mins away and can get up there quite often. Dont think i could have an airside pass, but the spotting areas are good as well as terminal views, from T1 anyway. I will help with this project if you still need it.
