Strong opinions! I think that airlines would rather cut back and keep going than merge into a pan european airline! I as a customer feels a sense of pride when i see british airways in some far off destination (doesnt everyone?). A pan european airline wouldnt work, where would it hub? Flights to where? How would it connect all the cities like BA do?

I agree with what you are saying about small not meaning weak, just lets watch as these small strong airlines become bigger and bigger…..

The 777-200 is the best plane i have flown on. I also like the A319 of BA 🙂

Thai are the best airline i have flown with, organised and friendly with clean aircraft.

I think it needed updating anyway, but i dont think it was neccessary to remove the british logo. Although Britania was actually Roman and therefore is Italian anyway. I think that the new BMI, with very subtle union jack, will be the way to go in the future.

Lets not forget that we are now becoming part of one big country ie Europe so national identity is becoming harder and harder anyway. Lets just stay out of the Euro and then concentrate on plastering union jacks everywhere we can!!

I conntec via EFnet on the UK server. That is all i know as i said before MIRC is complicated.

Thanx for the input. I was just trying to breathe some life into the forum. MIRC is very complicated anyway, i was just using it as a temp solution. Also only people who know about teh room name will be able to enter the one on MIRC which is only the people on here.

Well (being defensive of my home airport) MAN is a very nice clean airport which is big enough to hold the passanger traffic which passes through it. It could turn into a LHR disaster if traffic keeps growing though.

Gatwick is probably the nicest airport that i have been in recently spacious with lots to do.

I have just come back from the organisational paradise of Thailand where everything went smoothly with hardly no waits. I had to connect at LHR for a flight to MAN. We had to cue to get crammed busses where we were told to “shove up the bus,” to fit even more people on. We then had to queue for bording cards and cram into a gate. It was hell. But the spectators terrace is cool though.
