Malaysia looks to Pakistan as source of armaments
——————————————————————————–
Kuala Lumpur, Feb 24 : Malaysia today said it will look towards Pakistan as an alternative source of armaments, defence products and services.
This was stated by Malaysian Deputy Defence Minister Zainal Abidin who felt that “over-dependence on traditional sources had disrupted operations”.
“With more countries having the capability to manufacture and supply defence products, we no longer need to be dependent on the primary producers”, the minister was quoted as saying in the ‘New Straits Times’ newspaper.
He said the move was also aimed at diversifying the country’s sources for parts and services from the open market.
Components could be purchased from “non-original equipment manufacturers” who also provided credible after-sales service, maintenance and profitable partnerships, Abidin said.
Malaysia had till date secured a defence package worth at least 100 million Ringett from Pakistan including 9.7 million ringett worth of anti-tank rocket propelled grenades, 30.9 million ringett of Baktar Shikan anti-tank weapon systems and 48.7 million ringett of surface-to-air anti-aircraft rocket launchers, the newspaper said.
The minister said Malaysia was also keen to take up Pakistan’s offer to train its submarine personnel

Also, don’t post any Pakistani news from John Kucera guy, nor from NY Times, nor from Asia Times, nor from SATribune, etc. Posting from these sources would be considered flaming and will be reported.
SA is devoted to anti pakistan propaganda, common knowladge. i could also post indian “news” from pdf, but there is a limit in bs you should post.
Nithin pls dont post from a bs unreliable source, i could do the same. You have been told about this source many times, dont past pakistani news from satribune, obvious reasons. i dont think that you even are so dumb, or perhaps its your intention to spoil the threadh again. thnx

The FCS computers are locally made at Bharat Electronics Ltd, Bangalore and were designed by ADA, ADE and BEL. The initial testing was done at Lock Mart till Indian facilities got ready- which company seized the Indian FCS computers once Pokhran happened and they were replaced by new ones once the team was back.
The FBW code is being written by a combined team of ADA, ADE (Aeronautics Development Establishment) and NAL (National Aerospace Laboratory).
So the hardware is designed/developed by the US and made in india ?
So the Flight control system computers are they locallly produced or imported, i dont know the link but saw somewhere something about importing FCS computers ?. The software is locally written right ?
that LCA pic sure does look fine
hmm no hud in the “first one”, in the new one you can see it. Doen anyone know if its going to be at the upcoming Air show in france.

Pakistan to get US arms later this year
By Anwar Iqbal
http://www.dawn.com/2005/02/14/top3.htm
WASHINGTON, Feb 13: Pakistan will start receiving weapons from the United States under a $1.2 billion arms package by the end of this year, official sources told Dawn. The production of these weapons has already started, they added.
The package, announced in mid November, includes eight P-3C Orion surveillance aircraft, six Phalanx close-in weapon systems and an ammunition complement of 2,000 TOW-2A missiles and 14 TOW-2A Fly-to-Buy missiles.
The P-3 Orions are valued at $970 million, the Phalanx systems at $155 million and the missiles at $82 million. This is the first major sale of US military hardware to Pakistan since Washington lifted sanctions and named Islamabad a major non-NATO ally last year.
Pakistan, however, has not yet succeeded in getting the nod for the big ticket item – the F-16 fighter planes – it has been seeking for long. But there have been recent developments that may boost Pakistan’s efforts to get the aircraft.
The most interesting development in this regard is India’s proclaimed interest in buying the F-16s. The other favourable development for Pakistan is a report from Lockheed Martin, which manufactures F-16s, that it may be forced to close its plant in President Bush’s home state of Texas if the US administration does not agree to sell F-16s to Islamabad. The manufacturers, according to congressional sources, have already passed this information to some members of the US House of Representatives.
Well, it’s good to see the blocks work as intended. ๐
It is’nt about copyrighting but about giving away what you plan to release in the future. Unlike this “shareware” version, the pics in proper format and yes, *without the blocks* will be up once the whole report is uploaded.
ah i c well thnx in that case ๐
i can understand a note of copywriting but the preview is blocking the whole pic, this is really rediculous  . cant comment much on the pics as most is blocked.
