Its totally different matter to defend our own fields than try to invade something that Isent us. The people is what counts, not the swamps and the woods. maybe you do not realize, but military and wars come from politics. Country like China buy weapon because of politics stuff like Nansha island dispute with Vietnam and Phillipine.

And yes Vietnam is serious threat because they control most of Nansha and have history of fighting China all the time, killing Chinese people and stealing land.

Karelia has been source of downfall to our extrem-rigth (by advocating useless crusades in the 20’s and ultimately attacking there whit the nazis in ’41) and extreme-left (the refugees of the failed 1918 revolution tryed to build a substitute socialistic finland out of the false imagination that karelian orthodoxian people had somethign common on lutherian finns…they sticked to that too eagerly than trying to affect affairs in actual Finland and where later executed by the Iron man due too nationalistic ideas)

What makes you think that China would be willing to pay the immense costs of restarting production for either the Tu-160 or Tu-22M3?

There is nothing sensitive about the technology of the Tu-160, and Russia probably wouldn’t even be deterred by international criticism for weapons proliferation.

In reality, the Tu-160 was never fully developed as a modern, multi-role conventional bomber. Most of the avionics and systems are long out of production and obsolete. The operating costs of the Tu-160 are also staggering. You really have to wonder if Russia’s own Tu-160 bomber force is an effective combat element or a partially derelict status symbol?

If China was willing to invest the equivilent of tens of billions of dollars/euros into a manned bomber, it might be more desirable to start with a clean sheet of paper than with the Tu-160.

hmm but the FC-1 Block X could only go so far as replacing the MiG-29s. Maybe something more – like a J-10 Block X or a J-XX but jointly developed with Ukraine. The other two would be more than glad to have Ukraine on board given its immense expertise and industrial capacity for making engines. And whats a fighter jet but an engine with wings?
