Three Gnome Rhone radials…
Here is a flying boat that was better off at boating than flying.
Second Meridionali Ro 51 prototype.
Chris- I went through all my stuff trying to help out with your Brewsters but no luck unfortunately.
You got it Chris. :very_drunk: The Piaggio workers look like a proud bunch.
Over to you.
Here is a new WOT to consider. A favorite of mine as well.
I’ve blown through all my Aussie material. No luck on that front but I don’t have the Meggs book!
‘Stolen’ from Keith Meggs’ mighty fine tome “Australian Aircraft and the Industry Vol 1 Book 1”. 🙂
This book is on my wish list!
Tough to say aa. My head has been in the clouds all day…
You got it Thomas. :very_drunk:
Over to you.
Submitted, one floating WOT…
Right on wilkofife. It is the H-6.:very_drunk: She looks ungainly on the land!
Over to you.
Looks like it might be some type of Caproni product.
You would think Chris with the unequal wingspan, but it is not Italian.
Are my eyes deceiving me, or is this a flying boat with a fixed land undercarriage?
Very good question. It is listed as an amphibian but that looks like beaching gear to me. It’s older sibling was a pure flying boat.
Photos are rare of this craft (especially the whole airplane) but there is some documentation across the net on it. From a well-known company that has been represented in this thread previously.
There is an ebb and flow to these things.
Don’t think this one has appeared before. My apologies if so.
I’m still recovering from your GALCA!
Can post something later today if no one else has a go at it.
