Not sure what I’ll be having for dinner, but somewhere along the way, there will be ice cream!

On paper, the F-22 looks like an incredible aircraft with capabilities that very few aircraft can match or even come close. However, in a day and age of helmet cueing systems and high-off boresight missiles, how evefective will the Raptor be if the fight transitions into a knife fight?

The only comepetant AF that i can think of that can potentially be a threat to for the US is china and the PLAAF and it is a well known fact that the USAF (or other services for that matter) arent shaping up to go to war with china. the DOD has in policy statements kept china as neutral meaning that they arent willing to look at it as a full blown threat therefore the question of not being prepared for china doesnt arise.

As much as I understand your point, I also disagree with it partially. As much as the US government doesn’t see China as being a viable threat at this time, I am sure that they are still gathering mucho info on its capabilities. Because one day, and I hope I am wrong, the peaceful Dragon may not be so peaceful anymore.

Lets see how it performs in combat first…

When do you think that will be?

Yeah I noticed that, not much clearance left there. Reminds me of a certain episode of Top Gear when they got stuck in that car park in Paris, but that’s way off topic…. 😉

Seen that one! It was worth a little chuckle.
Have any of you figured out what the engine was for?
