My problem with all of this stems from how many Muslim leaders would liek the west to see them. They would like us to see them as a peaceful and loving people who accept other religions and who share the same views. So why do so many call us infidels and why is it that their so called anger is only directed at christians and jews but never at hindus or other religions which exist around the world. After all, are they not infidels as well?
However, the biggest problem I have is this. Those who are furious at the publication of these cartoons are running into the streets and violently expressing themselves. They run into embassies and burn them down! By the way, just so we are clear on this, that would be an act or war as an embassy is sovereigh ground. Then, hey, we’ll start burning flags, calling for violence to befall upon countries that didn’t even have anythign to do with it and hey, why not warn them that we’re actually going to come down into your neighbourhoods and target you for death! That really sounds like a whole lot of fun! Now, many will sit there and tell me that my views are biased and maybe so. The media does play a massive part in the way we view other cultures. However, I do have an advantage over others I have lived in the Middle East for five years and I was stationed there for three months. I have a lot of friends who are of Middle Eastern descent and are more angry with the reaction of their peers than they are about the cartoons.
In order for the Muslim world to gain our trust and our acceptance, mainly after 9/11, they’re going to have to start behaving differently!

What did the editor apologize for?
In my opinion, Fogh Rasmussen does not have an obligation to apologize for anything.
I agree with this statement on hundred percent. If we can’t express ourselves freely anymore, than the last fifty or sixty years of advancement in human rights can simply be thrown down the toilet!

A Muslim cleric has offered a £13,000 reward to anyone who kills the man who drew cartoons of the Prophet Mohammed according to Sky News website
In that case, he should be arrested for inciting violence and conspiracy to commit murder. Then jailed for an undetermined amount of time! I say permanently!

I have heard that Kuwait had a similar installation west of Ahmed Al Jaber AB. Not sure if that’s the truth but if I remember correctly, I may have read this either in AFM (long time ago).
Did this capability exist and if it at one time existed, does Kuwait’s air arm still use this capability or just relies on its two airfields and Kuwait International Airport?
Stéphane, mon grand, tu nous gates vraiment trop! Thanx for all the great shots, keep them coming! Irwan 🙂
Great shot! Must have been somewhat exciting for the passengers!
Good pick Bmused55!
It’s funny how everyone immediately jumps to the conclusion that something negative happened! I think that EADS and Airbus are taking this very seriously and are careful not to upset those who purchase the aircraft any further. However, I am sure that, considering the fact that they are currently testing the aircraft, they were sure they would see this wing reach the breaking point.
No matter how many corners may have been cut, the aircraft looks incredible and like many, I can’t wait to see the A380 in its Virgin Atlantic livery!
By the way, Steph, your pics are top notch as always! Incredible quality! 🙂
Let me see if I can come up with something!
