Not an airbase but an old `Rotor` radar station… had a 1942 Morris (morrison?) armoured car in the undergrowth outside.

Stirling one please !!!!!
Got a picture somewhere of the Hercules crash in the woods at Colerne…1970`s ??
Spitfire under carriage legs sticking out of the mounds surrounding the hangers at Boscombe Down…wrecking the strimmers of the workers clearing the weeds. Maybe Rocketeer can confirm this ??
Same as a Stirling one I think, which are the same as a lot of old motorcycle oil tanks(british) and some lawnmower fuel tanks.
Possibly Engine mounting or Main undercarriage then…difficult without numbers..will look through my photos and let you know if I find anything.
any numbers on the Stirling bit?? is it steel or alloy??
I haven`t enough time to do what I want as it is.. without taking on anything else Andy. My friend did as much asking about as he could but is also very busy.He was quite adamant this thing exists though,.. in one of two rooms with heavy steel doors (blast) I`m sure he mentioned it was under the drawing offices rather than the factory. It is interesting that it is just a carpark…maybe they couldn`t build on it `for some reason`.
A scuba diving centre on Watery Lane — almost as bad as the Police Station on Letsby Avenue in Sheffield
Now what about the Heyford buried at Cosford – or is it the Cosford buried at Heyford
