    Fly buy,Considering the size of the wheels and there being a great deal of travel in the wheel, it would be easier to keep it in a hard over position with a complete round wheel.

    Somebody local to me took me on a tour of his first world war collection in a massive bunker under his house.There a trench system with special effects,Hospital,vehicles and probaby 100 manekins in uniforms…….seldom seen.

    Fly.Buy/ The prototype half scale Stirlingdid have two pilots and the control wheels were plastic coated.I have no shots of the interior of the M4,but they fitted allsorts to prototypes so who knows as regards your wheel. I have seen your wheel somewhere in a book about early Imperial Airways Aircraft.Here are pics of the Stirling `Production` Control wheels starting with the earliest.Stampings should start SB or SBH although there are none of these on my control wheels.
