    1154 and 1155 in antique shop in Glastonbury..complete..£50 the pair, 1996 sold them at Shoreham? the very next day..for a tad more.

    [ATTACH]189007[/ATTACH] As far as I`m aware `turret position indicators` were not fitted to Stirlings..and were solely for the attention of the gunner anyway. The top left hand corner of the early Stirlings pilots instrument panel were fitted with a` steering indicator for the bomb aiming ( 6A 579)`as shown here.I`ve shown it at actual size if you wish to copy.

    I have a G45 with `Long lens` that were apparently fitted in turrets in the place of a 303 for training purpose …were they fitted in fighters too ?

    I feel sick..anyone ever seen a picture of a Stirling being scrapped..seen plenty of ones in storage ( Woburn Abbey), but none being killed………..

    Hindenburg – that address must be close to my late mother’s childhood home in Trentham Road. During the war, although married and living elsewhere in Coventry, she would have been still working at the Co-op dairy in Swan Lane.

    Is it a butterfly bomb, did the Luftwaffe use such weapons? Could it be some device to slow the fall of the bomb?

    How did the photo album get to Somerset?

    The third picture looks like the rear fuselage lower section with the H2s radar mount and lower IFF light mount fitted.

    Yes I thought it was the H2s Scanner mount too Peter……….
