Obama pours so much over-the-top vitriol on BP that his cracks are beginning to show. He hates everything British – the very first thing he did when he entered the Oval Office was to throw out a bust of Churchill, and it’s been reported that the British Army tortured his grandfather during the Mau Mau rebellion….

So true,I thought he was `mixed race`? ie his mother was white? ,and he`s actually Kenyan? and is changing the name of the `whitehouse`…..or painting it…………..(now wait for that float to bob).I`ve got a great picture of a Lincoln bombing the Mau Mau terrorists wasn`t that their only combat claim?

I don`t know how quicly the salt water would wreck things.I remember years ago a picture on the front of MCN of Joey Dunlops motorcycles strapped to the deck of a trawler which had sunk in the irish sea. They raised the bikes and had them stripped and running for the TT races.

you May be right in assuming you think they`re `highballs` as they`re smaller and dropped in pairs. On the other hand this was 1942 and if you`re going to conduct trials and only have one aircraft surely it`s better to scale down your test weapons to save time and do twice the tests on an airborne drop? I thought the `Highball` drops were after the Dams tests later in 1943 on Loch Striven..not 1942 on `The Fleet` behind `Chesil Bank`

sorry, only know this one aircraft which was a Mk2 operating out of Warmwell ,Dorset in Dec 1942. wouldn`t have thought he`d of been allocated more than one aircraft. As said in the film ” and besides, you say you want to use a Wellinton Bomber for test drops, they`re worth their weight in gold..what possible reason could I put forward for you using one?”
