    They (the authorities) need to come down hard on cretins like this.

    A few years back I had to endure a similar situation (unreported) on a flight to Mallorca.

    I had my two small children with me and it was pretty unpleasant.

    Two blokes did get a few good punches in on the culprit which was summary justice!

    Thank God for the modern auto pilot…so the pilot and co-pilot could sort it out !!

    I`ve never seen a G.P.I. fitted to a Stirling but would be interested to know if they ever were Smirky ?.

    There you go Eddie,it`s in the Navs position and the loop aerial is directly overhead within the cockpit canopy,hence no egg shaped DF fairing.I`m not sure how this handwheel would work as it`s not connected to the DF loop tube in the centre, so you couldn`t turn it.Perhaps this is just a visual, dare i say `bodge`,but I could be wrong……apologies if I am, as the rest of the interior looks SUPERB !!!

    Nice Pic Smirky,as far as I`m aware Eddie,Lancs were only fitted with the DF loop controller in Smirkys photo,perhaps someone will correct me if I`m wrong.I`ve got the handwheel and body for this ,but not the light coloured alloy drum with the scale etched on it.

    is anyone going to point out the error in his ways then !!Mk 7 being used in 1943 Lancs is bad enough,as for the Dams bit.

    I thought the largest was a B-29?
    Sure theres footage on You Tube.

    Perhaps it`s the biggest in uk then,someone told me it flew at Elvington this year..will look that one up Thanks.

    You`re right they normally have a silver layer on the outside,looks like this once had one and its worn off.
