Interesting – odd damage to the props though; bent but not as bent as you would expect if it had made a gear-up forced landing, no signs of damage to the underside either? I wonder if it hit water whilst low flying and made a gear-down forced landing?

I would not look on it as a way to ‘see the world’!! These days ships spend very little time in port and the opportunities for trips ashore are very limited!! Even when I was at sea (he said sounding a little bit too much like Uncle Albert!!), what I mostly saw were tanker terminals and they all look the same!!!
