Did PIK ever actually approve the use of their airfield as an aircraft graveyard?
I don’t think even MOL would just use PIK as an ‘aircraft graveyard’ without the permission of PIK’s owners. Remember, PIK is a RYR Maintenance Base and has also been used to scrap a/c before, ie BAW Tridents and BAW VC10’s.

The week I was there all arrivals were over the golf course you talk about, in fact another place to watch is just to the north of Los Abrigos, there is a dirt track which is just to the rear of the school in Los Abrigos which turns into a paved road which goes around the perimeter, had no problems taking pics from there, in fact I’ll look them out and post some of them 🙂
The Thomas Cook A320 was taken from near the school in Los Abrigos the other 2 were taken from the dirt track.

Anybody been to either Tenerife airports reciently? Looking to go in February and staying in a apartment on the golf course on the end of the runway at the south airport. Had a look tonight at the arrivals and Saturday is wall to wall german charters 🙂 , just what I need. Plus that fact that in the uk it will be -2oC and in Tenerife 22oC! Looking to fly Monarch from Luton.
Anybody been and know any spotting places?? Anybody flown Monarch schedules, guess they used the A300???
Here’s a map a Tenerife Sur local sent me re photgraphy/spotting places, you would need a car though.

Amazing pic’s….Very nice…….where’s the 3rd pic taken at? as there is an impressive mountain range in the background. And in the 5th pic are they military DC-10’s??? USAF maybe???? Cheers
All taken at Glasgow Prestwick, that’s the Isle Of Arran with the ‘mountain range’ behind, a nice backdrop I’m sure you agree?

Great photos! Love them DC-10s, great to see so many together all in one 🙂
Looks like they’re being ‘stalked’ by the RYR 737’s behind 😮

The thread title explains this batch. It sure was a nice day to be flying. 🙂
This day included the first time I’ve seen the EMB-170 in a UAL livery. This aircraft is operated by Chautauqua Airlines.
Enjoy
Excellent shots 🙂
