The thread title explains this batch. It sure was a nice day to be flying. 🙂
This day included the first time I’ve seen the EMB-170 in a UAL livery. This aircraft is operated by Chautauqua Airlines.
Enjoy
Excellent shots 🙂
Trying something new with my new camera – overflight shots. These were all taken from my backgarden this morning. Excuse the quality of them – it will get better! lol.
Enjoy.
1. United Airlines 777-200 heading back to the States.
2. Heading to FRA, high up is this Evergreen 747. Not sure if its a 100 or a 200 varient…?
3. Possible China Airlines 747-400? – Heading west.
4. Privatair BBJ – heading over to the states no doubt.
5. A Eurocypria 737-800 w/winglets heading back to Cyprus, possibly from Ireland? A shame it had the Grey tail though – the blue would have stood out more. And just after i came back inside, put the camera away, what should come over, heading for LHR?! – A Varig MD-11 😡 Always the way aint it!
Enjoy the pics.
Excellent 🙂 I’d say the Evergreen was a -100 series.

A strange fact is that Icelandair operated the *only* scheduled air service by a Boeing 727 to any Scottish airport even when the 727 was the worlds most numerous jetliner.
And here’s some 757’s at GLA –

All this great Icelandair talk is making my want to get around to finally visiting the place. I don’t have any of those great retro shots Kaplan but I do remember seeing those 727’s at GLA in the 80’s.
The oldest Icelandair shot I have is this one all of 1 year old…
And very nice it is too 😀

They are a 100% charter operator now, but they used to do scheduled services with Caravelles and 727s.
But never operated a schedule to ABZ IIRC 🙂

Didn’t Sterling have a 727 service to Aberdeen at some point?

Some early 1970s visitors, and one unintentional resident – the Dan Air Comet G-APDL, did a wheels up landing during crew training and was eventually scrapped.
Excellent pics and nice to see a Trident in colours other than BEA/BA 🙂
