    Yep!

“Gullfaxi” was Prince Sigurd’s horse. Dunno about “Solfaxi”, though.

Another superb round of golden oldies

thanks for posting them. Until now I never knew icelandair once has a pegasus as their logo

IIRC the 2 727’s of ICE were named ‘Gulfaxi’ and ‘Solfaxi?’ Norse?

And secondly (and still there right now), this “brand new” but rather anonymous looking DC-8-63 of Johnson Air, registration 9G-FAB – all DC-8s are fab, its just that this one confirms that fact with its registration! 😉

    Very nice indeed Andy. 🙂

Was the Stratocruiser at Philly too? Did you get on board and what were you on when you took the picture ? (which plane I mean not which form of stimulation) 😀

As for US Airways… well BAA told us the other night that US were very happy with the GLA service, so I’d imagine if they do fold then perhaps someone else may wish to take it on?

I got aboard the Stratocruiser but I can’t remember what I was on when I took the pic 😮
Pics were taken at the Dover Air Force Base Museum, about an hour south of Philly in Delaware. All the cockpits were open and you could sit in all the cockpit seats if you wanted 🙂

Are those the blisters located at the APU exhaust and under the fuselage just aft of the cockpit windows?

RWR? It needs to be spelled out for us Yanks. 😉

Radar Warning Receivers I think it is, in case of a missile attack, looking at the pics there at least 3 of them.
