About £15k for the camera and another £20k for the lens, glad I wasn’t paying for it, especially when this happened during rehearsals… 😮
Remind me about that photocopy, was it the PIK article? It’s gone way over my head?
It was a copy of the ‘GLA-Transatlantic Gateway’ article in exchange for a GLA DVD :diablo:
Great shots and a great opportunity too. Unfortunately I was tied up all week shooting Bono, Bob and Bampots so couldn’t get to PIK at all. 😡
That looks like a few quids worth you’re carrying 😮
Still got that photocopy from Airliner World in car Allen.
Finally got my new camera and lense. Since it was a nice evening yesterday, I bought a few beers, sat in the garden and watched the planes fly by.
Still can’t zoom them on the PC, it appears that I’ve saved them as zoomed, but when I go to upload them they revert back to the original pic??? Any ideas?
When I’ve uploaded the pics, I’ve had to reduce the quality. How can you get the pics right at the limit?
dme
Do you have Adobe Photoshop DME? If not, drop me a PM.
Saudi are regular summer visitors to AGP. If im not wrong i think the King holidays in Malaga every year. One year, and i don’t remember which one he had the following parked up there for over a month:
L1011 Tristar x2
B747SP
B757-200
Gulfstream 3
B727Correct me if im wrong it’s only off the top of my haed.
Yes, I looked up Airliners.net etc before going to see what photography was like there and I noted quite a few Saudi a/c on the site.
Would your flight into GLA have been Monday?
I am sure I watched the landing, I like watching those GSM B7378’s, look smart. The MYT was sitting there for quite a while, looks like it had gone Tech.
No, it was a couple of weeks ago, and yes the winglets do make the 737’s..er,……sexy 😉
Terrific shots, brings back memories of my trip to Malaga, lucky to get the Saudi!
(You dont half get about! ;)).
Thanks, and yes I was surprised to see the Saudi 777 at AGP,
Nice shots as always. Are ones down the runway @ 300mm?
Matthew, I think your flying EDI-DUB? Could be wrong there lol, but friend flew EDI-DUB-EDI last weekend and got -200 each way.
Yes the full 300mm and cropped also.
Nice pics there mate, see the coal burning 737-200 on short finals, very nice.
Rgds
Andt
Still nice to see the old -200’s flying IMO.
Are you taking the Twotter or the Cessna John ? :diablo:
Was thinking of going to Machrihanish a few weeks ago on the T’wotter but the air show that was meant to happen was cancelled
Nice shots.
I fly out that route all the time, well on the other side of the Clyde. I’ve never seen a 767 on the south side of the Clyde.
Might be good to time it right and fly parallel with the 767 on approach, get some pics.

Even better with an A330 or a 747!
Went up for the SN arriving which I missed by seconds. Heres a few shots anyway. The GSM was very cheeky as he dukes the queue to head down to the end of 05 and turn for a 23 departure 🙂
Nice, it’s a pity about those obstructions up there though.
Did the farmer not shout at you? 😮
twas me, in an attempt to head off the mysterious 1 star rater.
The pics are good enough for 5 stars any how.
It wasn’t because it was a Boeing was it? :diablo:
Better late than never. 🙂
Enjoy. (All pics taken at the airport from sundays show)
Great stuff, I wonder why the 111 Sqn F3 was displaying instead of the more usual 56 Sqn a/c?
How was your outbound from MAN on May 12th Mr Dig ? 😀
Must just have missed you Mr Frew 😀
Lovely pics Kaplan – that first one is breath taking! 🙂
Thanks 😮 The a/c below us was a United 747-400.
